# About me
~~About Me~~I'm currently attending Louisiana State University, my major is Animal Science. At this time I am interning with pigs at LSU's Swine Farm. I've discovered my "purpose in life" is to help animals- It's one of the _few_ things that makes me truly happy in life. I own an amazing rat named Echo, she'll break your false preconceptions on rats, guaranteed! I also own a orange tabby cat named Odin. Yes I have a thing for mythology, as you can see by my pet's names.

I give her dried bananas or almonds and she sits still as she eats them.
I don't know if all rats do that but whenever I feed her she huddles down and eats, it's so cute!
Echo will be getting a friend or two here shortly.
She's lonely a lot of the time and I know she would prefer to have a friend- just waiting for her lice to go away, gave her revolution today.

My rats do huddle down and eat.. But they hide. Because they think I will take their food away.. Or think one of their sister take the food away! Hehe...
So maybe I should take them apart when taking pictures!

Ahh lice.. I hate those things! I'm glad my girls don't have lice!
I've got 4 girls, 2 oldies and 2 youngsters! The youngsters are a half year old and the oldies... About two!

I got her in January and she was much smaller, so I'd say quite young!
I'm so afraid of how short their lives are. I'm already so attached. ;_;
I'm getting younger females. Scouted out all petstores in town today and found some that appear social and healthy. I tried adopting but no shelters within 6hrs of me stock ratties- not that I could find. And the way I see it petstore rats need rescuing as well. Sadly it promotes the breeding/selling of them if I buy one but *sigh* echo wants a friend.
