I just came back from Dragoncon 2019, and my friend successfully debuted the "Azur Lane"/"Star Trek 2009" Enterprise crossover that I designed.

We had a photo op with George Takei at 5:10PM on Saturday and she almost didn't make it in time because she kept getting stopped for photos.Β Someone was shooting a cosplay music video and featured her prominently.
I've never seen George Takei's eyebrows skyrocket that high ("oh my! The Enterprise!"), and when I took her to see Garrett Wang (Ensign Kim from "Voyager" and director of the Dragoncon Trek Track), his jaw hit the floor and he pretty much jumped out of his chair to go get a photo with her.
Imagine that, this was her first "Star Trek" cosplay ever and her childhood hero freaked out and ran over to her to get her photo.Β We hoped people would like Enterprise but even we didn't expect her to be so popular.Β It was epic - and we aren't even done yet because we are still putting WW2 Enterprise together.

So, I just have a little something I figured I'd let you in on.Β Remember how I designed a conversion plan to transform the "Azur Lane" Enterprise from the aircraft carrier into the starship?
Well, I'm in the final stages of getting that design built in cosplay form for one of my friends to wear.Β We are, in fact, almost done.Β The outfit is assembled, we have a plush eagle, even the deflector dish and impulse drive have been built.Β We are simply waiting on completion of the Phase Cannon, saucer-shield and nacelle-sword, which are currently in mid-construction.Β
I am one of only two people who have tried to design a "Star Trek" form for Enterprise-chan.Β But the other version was done in such a way that it can't be built.

Hello!Β Just thought I'd tell you that - partly in response to a comment you left on another DA submission last month - I went ahead and actually started designing conversion parts to turn "Azur Lane's" Enterprise-chan into the NCC-1701.

I'm still considering colorizing the drawing.Β I also suspect that I may need to draw one more sheet showing some of the parts from other angles and maybe providing some more notes about how it is all supposed to come together or speculative sizes of some of the components.

Phantom Lantern Sunburst laughed insanely as he shifted from one part of the emotion spectrum to the next. "Starlight! I am great and powerful! Like you! Look at me now! Knowledge and power to do something with it! This is destiny!" He shifted from Green to Yellow to Violet. Β
"Why do I have this odd feeling that this might be my fault?" Lantern Starlight asked as the other Lanterns glared at her.Β

Spike: "Obnoxious and really annoying?"
Starlight: "--excitable, but I'm certain that he'll be a valuable asset in the fightΒ against the Black Lante--"
Maud: "He's going to die."
Starlight: "...what?"
Maud: "Twilight and I just found out thatΒ the Phantom ringΒ uses it'sΒ bearer as a Power Battery and eventually it'll overwhelm his body and make him explode."
Starlight: "WHAT?!"
Maud: "I said, Twilight and I just found out--"
Starlight: "STARBURST TAKE THAT RING OFF RIGHT NOW!"
