Both are wrong. It is as bad as The Piss Christ photo, which I think that guy was threatened. Muhammed is not shown because Muslim's consider that idol worship, which is one of the commandments. Besides, there is a thin line between freedom of speech and being considered a bigot and hate speech, thus being hatede by many people. That is why Fred Phelps is hated a lot

Not all Muslims consider depictions of Muhammad inappropriate, and it's only some of the hadith that explicitly forbid it - the Koran doesn't condemn it. It pretty much boils down to different sects and their interpretations of their holy texts. Muslims have depicted Muhammad themselves across the ages.

That thin line you mention exists only because way too many people are too dumb to understand that getting all pissed off over fictional characters doesn't get anyone anywhere.

Except this seems to be working one way only. If a cracker calls a nigger "nigger", then he's a big bad racist - but if a nigger calls a cracker "cracker", then he's just doing his usual homie thing. Also, nobody seems to have much of a problem with "God hates fags" signs.

Oh, I didn't know about that. Good for them, actually.

As for the Everybody Draw Holocaust Day, it might be somewhat distasteful, but more importantly it completely misses the point - it would only make some sense if nobody but Holocaust survivors drew Muhammad. But that aside, whatever our opinions on the subject may be, the Iranians you mentioned have every right to draw Holocaust if they so choose.
