Techgnotic is pretty much the voice of DeviantArt. The community provides the content, but techgnotic organizes it into stories/articles/galleries based on circles of interest, or recent news events (e.g. this gallery is about Terry Pratchett passing on; a couple weeks ago a similar one was posted regarding Leonard Nimoy's passing. Last year Robin Williams got one. And so on). The link to the article is right on the front page; if you click the "Today" link in the top bar then scroll down to "Featured Stories" you'll see it.
As for your "It's Vital to Remember" piece, just scroll down and look on the bottom right; the statistics are printed there for all to see:

At the moment, I'm using Brause and Speedball dip nibs for nearly everything. I have some Pilot Parallels, but I don't use them nearly as often as I should. Any of those should suit you just fine, and there are plenty of good inks out there, too. I use mostly fountain pen inks, but India ink and document-grade ink works well too. I know some people also use gouache, but I haven't quite made that leap yet.
