Hi I'm Maddie ^^
I'm a long standing member here, this is simply my second account lol. I've been on dA for about nine years at this point
I am now an Animation Student in a renowned Art Program (Yes Mama I made it TTuTT) and I hope to be posting more and more improved work to share with y'all.
I am also a writer; I'm in the process of publishing my first book series named LAPIS

Dear MaddieJk,I enjoyed working with you guys for this whole round.I will try my best to give good feedback although am inexperienced in this.
impressions: -in the guess who task Lapis is pretty easy to guess she is a princess when you see her throne, yet her powers seemed very pretty looking which i thought was ice magic right away, until i read the comments section after the task was finished her history is interesting for the most part my focus was right on the powers and viruses having a part in jeweloid powers i think thats cool and a neat idea.

character- Lapis is a very strong woman with her position in society yet even as a person her desire for love is relateable and natural. like able yet want to see more of her other side to her life, with her time along without her man what are those times like?.
Colors- you seem to have much knowledge of use of cool colors in yourworks displaying lapis, and human anatomy is fluid and warm feeling, nice job!.
Art- the blues attract the eye,my suggestion to a small anatomy detail concerning the eyes on males and females is they can use more variation in their shapes as they do look similar to each other its a bit hard to tell her emotions a bit.
shading is good yet you could go even darker to make more stand out when lapis is in the picture it would really Β make her pop!.

A country is usually embodied by their leader. Considering you picked to base it off of Germany during WWII, it can be determined you used actions/choices of Hitler to influence how you wrote/designed your character. Heβs the first person people normally think of when it comes to the time period, so if youβre going off of history, youβre going to be looking at his actions more than anyone elseβs.
I personally think you writing on my own page is very rude. I can understand you being upset that a work wasnβt accepted, but that doesnβt equate to you attacking someone, especially outside of the group. Youβve had it explained to you by other admins why I said what I did, I wasnβt just ignoring you as you like to assume. If you think this action wonβt be taken into account while reviewing the situation, then Iβm sorry to surprise you.

Yeah, the situation was a bit weird. I came across the original and edited piece of my own accord on the front page of dA, and even commented on the first before I knew certain things. To be totally honest, I didn't even know who spoops actually was the first time until after when I got on the discord for Icyhazard...which it seems the bite back stems from.
So I commented on the second, and when simon responded I was kinda annoyed. I personally find it infuriating when someone who isn't the person I'm talking to tries to negate what I'm saying, and it was made worse that I had the prior knowledge that he himself has no actual...drawing ability. So I will admit I got snooty pretty quickly in comparison to normal circumstances, but I can't change it.
Things got shitty when Simon visited my page 4 or 5 times. Coincidentally, the most recent piece I had posted was this ->
So yeah, what I'm guessing happened is that Simon told snoop that I was some lacky just fishing for a reaction or something? Thus the stupidity
The funny thing is that it was Simon that brought her up, not me. I never included this person in the conversation, because it wasn't about her in the slightest. I wasn't connected to the situation, despite learning details later, and I honestly wanted to help her out. I walked out when I saw she was getting rude and passive aggressive with the fake niceties. I was entertained by his stupidity, but her ignorantly backing him up was just ridiculous. Plus her complaining that I didn't just praise her, that was just childish and turned me off. I'm a more advanced artist giving honest critique, no one who's honestly trying to help her is just gonna pat her on the back and say "good job". If she wants to improve she's gotta grow the fuck up and stop letting Simon control her thoughts.
As for Simon, I was laughing at his attempts to talk back. He doesn't know shit that I do, he knew he couldn't say shit, and he decided to be a child per usual and tried to say I was triggered when he couldn't combat facts. It's just that simple.Β
At this point, I'm kinda over them. I did another piece for Icy that I just posted, but I'm probably not gonna post anything else. I'm not involved in their drama, I've blocked them, so I'm just done with it. I don't usually involve myself in drama so this was a first for me lol

hey it's understandable, no need for apologies! I am quite sorry that the ordeal happened to you regardless, you really didn't deserve to go through that kind of discomfort. I know you were trying to give feedback to them, but it was quite surprising to read the comments and just witness the ordeal happen, holy hell I missed a lot didn't I?Β
and I saw the other image, and I am sorry for the fave and run there, I just fell in love in the both the imagery and the art itself as it's quite pleasant to the eyes! ;w;Β
