Because I have a decent memory and I remember some of the things I posted, various debates with Ratman, the views I held, the manner in which I put them across... the fact that I was young, ignorant and on the 'net.

Admittedly I did good things, like convincing WingZero (I'm /sure/ that was his name) to stop posting in blinding lime green fonts, but yeah I was young and foolish at the start.

and it might be a perspective thing, but I think you're still the same -but then I always considered you as "more grown up than me" so it probably is my perspective

Oh, alright... you've got my curiosity. What were some of the debates/views you remembered you wish you never had?

As for me, I guess it was more my way of saying things. I mean, my beliefs haven't changed all that much, but I feel I've become far more serious and contemplative about stuff in general, (yet sometimes with a more jesting approach instead...) rather than having that childhood innocence back when I was really interested in the anime scene and wondered what drugs Sam/Fina was on for not liking it at all, lol. (Notice how I hardly ever use that ^_^ face now too? I remember using that all the time over at SoAW. XD)

Not that I'm saying anime sucks now. I still love some shows in its style... but usually older, traditional ones.

And no, that does not count the Psychic Force OVA. >_>

One particuarly stupid one springs to mind, I was arguing with /someone/ -no idea whom- about Sheik and Zelda and if Sheik was male or female (magic being a very powerful thing) and of all possible arguments I could have used, I went for fanart. There being more male-sheik pictures than female.

That one I wish I'd kept my mouth closed for.

And you really did use that face a lot. That and the word "Shway"

I think I've actually grown more into anime... certainly more into manga. I suppose it depends what you're looking for in an anime, whether you like the modern ones or not. I get upset everytime I see CGU in anime, rather than hand-drawn frames.

lol, and I'm with you about the CGU. The last time I actually allowed myself to like it was its place in Last Exile, which is still my fav anime. But really, the hand-drawn stuff can't be beat. Just have to look at something like Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust to see just how far it came before the bloody CGU started taking over. Much too sterile...

Speaking of, though. Ever seen Treasure Planet? Probably one of the best examples of traditional and CGU art combined in an actually promising way.

I personally think that the Paint program is the work of the devil when it comes to trying to CG artworks with! It might be the basics of basics but it's difficult to work with to use professionally. It's like...driving a truck. If you want a smooth ride, you gotta go with the sports car series! (AKA Photoshop) You can turn corners a lot quicker with that... ^_^;
