Surprisingly enough, boring as all get-out. Luckily everything's been mundane; it could be worse than it is, I guess. So I shouldn't complain.

You know, I just realized that the both of us are taking Art Appreciation. I enjoy my class so far -- it's not as difficult as I thought it'd be. How's yours going?

(I know it's been a really long time since we got to talk) Art appreciation is actually pretty good so far, and yeah it definitely isn't as difficult as it seems. XD Do you find it helping with the concepts of your art?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kirada In reply to MaestroWolf [2010-01-27 06:15:56 +0000 UTC]

It hasn't helped so much in the conceptual part. If anything, it's helping in my analytical skills for my art. "What does this drawing mean?" But then again, I just started this week. Lol That could change in due time.

How about with you?

MaestroWolf In reply to Kirada [2010-01-27 06:19:23 +0000 UTC]

Same I just started about a week ago and so far only 4 sessions.

Mine's on-line -- three assignments. Exectly this: What is art? Who are artists? (Reply to another student's post 1 or 2.) I'm probably going to be reading through my book to pick up anything we may not cover. I'm "too" into art and I just like to learn.

MaestroWolf In reply to Kirada [2010-01-27 06:27:27 +0000 UTC]

Same here and I actually prefer to not have that as an online class because of certain opportunities like going to Art Museums, meeting others who have interests in art ect.

Kirada In reply to MaestroWolf [2010-01-27 06:30:33 +0000 UTC]

I didn't have too much of a choice. Maternal leave. Let alone, I was told that the lecture classes were already full so I couldn't get a seat in time. (Sob-sob.) And typically, the art classes are having models this year. ಠ_ಠ I've been waiting for that ever since I was in Junior high, and now I can't take it.

MaestroWolf In reply to Kirada [2010-01-27 06:36:51 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, motherhood pretty much leaves you to online classes doesn't it? At least you are pursuing your education while juggling motherhood, I'm sure you'll be able to work with models at some point. Be patient and you will be rewarded!

Kirada In reply to MaestroWolf [2010-01-27 06:49:59 +0000 UTC]

Not really, this was more-so my choice. The rest of my 5 (?) classes are lectures, save for "Physical Education." I'm just doing them all on-line to the best of my abilities while I'm out of "commission" for those 6 weeks. (I have about 4 left, thank the Gods -- I'm getting stir crazy.) It's actually a relief -- I get to spend some quality time with my son and mate that I'd be missing out on if I was in school for 6 hours or more a day. I'm going to miss it. X) I have to say that motherhood isn't as difficult as people made it out to be. But then again, that could be because I have a super-involved father, as well as family members.

Hopefully I can get my BFA when I expect to. Planning to attend the community college for two years, then transfer to the state university. If not, I've got my eye on the Art Academy in Cincinnati. Aspirations to be an art teacher.

How's about ze Natalie, what's she working toward?

MaestroWolf In reply to Kirada [2010-01-27 06:57:51 +0000 UTC]

I'm working towards becoming a social worker. Also wanting to get back into music, and get into drawing again. I haven't had any motivation to do so as school and work take most of my time. I've been thinking of opening art requests, art trades ect to get some practice in as I have little interest in drawing my own concepts for the time being. XD

I know how you feel, after a few days at home I get stir crazy and family involvement along with an extremely involved spouse is a definite plus when raising a child. It makes things much easier! Seeing you go through your journey of motherhood has made me a bit more maternal wishing I had that. (lol I get people telling me "You're time will come, Be patient" ect)

Just hope your "time" doesn't spring up on you. We were told Ross could have children (he had surgery on a double hydroseal or something of that sort -- his baby balls swelled up -- at 6 weeks old and they said he'd be sterile), so when we found out I was almost 3 months pregnant it was like: "Wait, what now?" Essentially it does happen eventually. The issue is finding a guy who's actually worth the damn. No one deserves to be a single mother. It's something that one shouldn't take on being on their own.

You should try going out, or a few hot bubble baths. Things that soothe you. That always helps me get my muse back. Or we could do a trade, even though I'm horrible at keeping up with them sometimes. It'd give us both something to do.

MaestroWolf In reply to Kirada [2010-01-27 07:08:58 +0000 UTC]

Not possible for me to without it being planned. I have a condition that makes it really difficult. I know no one deserves to be a single mother, but it's in my nature to be a mother, and lately my nature has been magnified stirring up really weird dreams making my want/need more. XD I also know it wouldn't really be fair without the financial means to do so, and I am trying my hardest to get school done with.

That actually sounds like it would help!

Kirada In reply to MaestroWolf [2010-01-27 07:15:13 +0000 UTC]

I can empathize with you there, really. My sister-in-law can't have kids and lost her child after a month. (Her ex convinced her to get her "tubes tied," and when she and her new hubby tried to make a youngster with artificial insertion, and it didn't catch.) My mother also had 3 confirmed miscarriages, same for my oldest sister. I know how it is to have "maternal overdrive," had it before and even more-so now. I used to end up being "mom" to my niece and nephew, and mothering my friends' kids and even my 2 little brothers. (My oldest sister nearly died once after losing a baby, because the hospital employs nitwits.)

And babies are expensive. It's a shame: They promote people to have babies to keep the population moving, yet they make it so expensive to support. It's like, "Really? I can get five dogs and take them to the vet for full service for less than this." But I guess that's business.

Hopefully you get everything in order. :3 Mothering is a challenge, but for those willing and able it's a real treat. Just don't risk yourself for it. Or, hell, even adopt. Perks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MaestroWolf In reply to Kirada [2010-01-27 07:26:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah babies definitely are expensive. I've been taking care of my nieces as if they were my own daughters, and strangely enough my youngest niece acts and looks like me. I've been told she could be mine, which I find amusing.

Most hospitals do employ idiots (sadly) and yeah it's a shame that they make pets more affordable and yes sadly it is business.

I hope everything works itself out soon also, because as soon as I get the opportunity to take that on I will be completely happy. XD I've thought about adoption also but that's more a last resort. (Not that anything is wrong with it, I'd just prefer to somehow have my own)

Jade? LMAO, she is yours *poke* I mean, she acts exactly like you and knows you probably better than I do *grumble at the fact I had to admit it*. Tis funny watching you two mess around, or hearing like when she curled up ontop of you and slept with you. She's getting big though, but hopefully she doesn't outgrow the heart she has that is like yours =]
