I am still not quite sure how this works. You have your character and you level by drawing them and writing about them. But how do you interact with other? Is there a game master who sets the stage for the stories? Are there some universal rules, or do they vary from group to group?
I know that some people use Skype and the likes, for roleplay, but that is not necessary for me. A lot of my friends are into RPGs, too.

Well basically... in the Pokemon one for example in order to get started I just note the group I am interested. They send me a list of Pokemon to pick from (I get to pick 2). So from there I would draw the reference (or commission someone) and submit for approval. If the reference has all of the correct info then I can start participating in group activities.

Usually with ARPG groups there is a main story (sometimes called lore), side stories, and then there are prompts. All of these 3 things if you work on them without missing any step then you should have a real story built up. Also there are side things like questing, exploring, traveling, hunting, training, etc. that help in building stories as well.

You can interact with others by trading, breeding, etc. You can do collabs, have your two characters go explore or something. You can do RP for this or actually do written/drawn works that you both create (either you both create 2 completed works or one does the lineart and the other colors...or one draws and the other writes).

There are some rules depending on the group you are in...basically if you get a creature that does not have thumbs you cannot have them walking around with phone or carrying swords...so those types of things only. No real hard rules, it is free to creativity.

You can use skype, discord, or whatever but that is not required. I know some people who do not role play at all but are still heavily involved in the ARPGs. As you can see most of my works are just art and I'll be releasing some written works shortly and there is no role play at all. I am just following some prompts but not everyone does. Actually every time you write or draw your character you gain experience... and if you follow prompts or activities then you get items and such. So I can just release a bunch of literature that has nothing to do with the group except that I Am using a character from the group and perhaps using one of the locations and that's it. That is perfectly fine! I still get experience points for those so it still helps my character.

Reminds me of MMORPGs. I started doing RPGs 5 years ago and it seems like each year I learn about a new type of RPG. I never would have thought there were so many different kinds.

I also stayed doing rpgs around that time

Now that I've discovered this art version I just do not find the other ones as enjoyable. I get to play and make art at the same time!

Danke, das freut mich. Wenn es wieder auf die Weihnachtsmärkte zu geht kommt bestimmt noch was neues zu meinem Schmuck. Eventuell werde ich auch versuchen nächstes Jahr selber einen Stand auf der Conichi zu bekommen. Ich hab inzwischen so viel von dem Schmuck, dass ich gar nicht mehr weiß wohin damit.

(^-^)!! High praise, thankyou~ I'm a piano player myself, but violins are just so... beautiful. Compared to stand up pianos, they have a much nicer shape. (Now grand pianos - they are capable of competing with a violin's beauty.)

Weit bin ich noch nicht gekommen, ich habe nämlich ein neues Hobby: Origamischmuck machen. Ich habe japanisches Washi-Papier und damit macht das richtig Spaß. Ich will die Tage auch ein paar Bilder hochladen.
