# About me

I've been writing for longer than I will admit. I have started drawing but I'm not very good at it. I'm in the process of learning Japanese, very slowly.

I am working on a Gazette fanfic right now but I find myself doing oneshots in between chapters. I have fun playing around with ideas based on pics and captions. If you see something that is begging for a story behind it please share the image and your ideas. I can't draw but I love to write. Right now only doing Gazette and dabbling in Alice Nine.

No worries, I know how real life can drag a person away from anything that resembles fun. I don't think family bs is ever going to give me breathing room and right now that's a literal thing. My niece, her hubby and son moved in last month and brought the pets with and I'm allergic to the dog. Long story short, I've been hiding in my cave pretty much since the dog got here but my parents are out of state for a funeral so I'm the only one around to watch my grandnephew. I called my brother today and asked him if he can take the dog, his house is empty but that's a long story. He's got to dog proof the yard and fingers crossed she'll be there in the next couple days before I have to see a doctor about the swelling in my eye. fml
So, how have you been lol?

Oh damn. Wow...yeah no. Still no breaks for you it seems. I hope the dog gets out soon at least. That can NOT be good to have your eye swelling. Why would they even? I mean...they HAVE to know your allergic so what the hell. I'll cross my fingers as well, hopefully it works.
I'm currently in hell. I'm sick...its allergy season for me...and I'm asthmatic. And I work 10+ hours a day with a 20 minute break 1 hour into my shift...so I can't breath...at like...all. And I've been in a constant panic attack for about 3 months now so yay.

MamaDoom823 In reply to crow-ash [2017-02-27 04:10:34 +0000 UTC]

My niece's hubby is allergic to cats and we have 5 plus they have 1 as well and both of us have asthma. But he works 6 days a week so he gets away from it whereas I'm stuck in the house with the dog who also has anxiety and has chewed most of the fur off her back end. I'm a little better today since it's my day off watching the boy and I went to Tampa with the kids to spread my in-laws ashes. My mother-in-law passed away last Oct, 2 wk before my youngest turned 13 and was found the day she was supposed to be flying to Scotland. The kid can't catch any breaks either.
That officially sucks ass. Another friend has seasonal allergies and she just got whammied by them so I think I'll just stick to my allergic to everything all the time. Those hours don't seem right at all as I thought federal law mandated breaks every X amount of time worked. I get it's not always possible but for a 10 hr shift you should have at least 1 30 min break and 2 15 min breaks, or something resembling that. Jeebus fuck about that panic attack, how are you even remotely sane? Not sure if there's anything to it but I've heard that taking vitamin B, not sure which one exactly, is supposed to help balance out mental health so it might be worth looking into.

So it sucks for both of you. Yay. LOL. I wish you both luck surviving. It honestly sounds like you need it. It's good that he gets away from it, but that doesn't help you at all. Sorry about your mother in law. My condolences. It really doesn't sound like any of you are catching any breaks at all.
They aren't right. And there's nothing we can do because I looked it up. Louisiana has no mandated job regulations beyond health and safety. Pay, breaks, all that is set by the company owner. Which sucks. As for the sanity, well I'm not. I'm batshit 99 percent of the time. Honestly though, vitamins won't help. I actually need psychiatric help, I'm just avoiding it.

fml, it just keeps going. My niece lost her grandpa a little over a week ago and then my dad's step father passed last week. We're having a celebration of life for my mil on the 18th, with her brother and nephew coming down from OH. The only positive thing in all of this is that my youngest is going to be able to afford any school she wants for college. Her dad was part of a group that hosts a scifi convention in Tampa and they started a fund for her the yr he died and his cousin is managing my mil finances for her until she comes of age.
For once FL has something right, at least as far as working hrs. I completely understand the whole batshit crazy thing. The last time a doc tried to label me it was unilateral bipolar, towards the depression end of the spectrum. I also have about every type of anxiety out there but I found a song that if I replay it long enough can put me into an almost trance like state and have saved my ass so many times. The constant pain from wide spread, early onset RA doesn't help the depression. I know what meds I need to take for it but I can't really afford the extra $500 or so a month for them. All around fun bullshit

That really is a lot going on for you. I honestly have not had a clue as to what to say. I hope everything is slowly working out at least. Condolences about your family's losses. At least you have the party to look forward too. Have the two made it down yet? If not, safe travelst to them.
That's pretty cool of them. Has she decided which college she wants to aim for, or not even thinking about it yet? I don't remember how old you said she was XD
I'm glad you've found some things that work for you. I hope they continue to work. I really do. Why are the extra meds so much though? Are they a tier one drug? There's usually a more generic brand of stuff like that...unless it's still experimental...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MamaDoom823 In reply to crow-ash [2017-03-14 02:27:34 +0000 UTC]

It's been crazy and I'm so glad I don't live up there because my dad's family is crazier than bat shit crazy. Seriously, I would not admit to being related to them if I had a choice. Once my grandma is gone I'm done with them and they can kiss my arse as I walk away.
The celebration is this Sat and I think they'll be here Wed or Thurs. BB is 13 and at this point doesn't know what she wants to do with her life other than something creative. She's better at drawing than she gives herself credit for and she's thinking about taking up acting. She's got the artist temperament down so she's a step ahead lol.
I'm on Celebrex for my RA and that was finally released and a generic is available but that's still $130 at a cash discount. But considering the brand name went up to $220 last year I'll take it. I should be taking Abilify and a fast acting anti anxiety med but the Abilify was over $500 the last time I got it. I did have insurance at that point so I had a much lower copay but I don't know if it's passed the 7 yr thing or not. The other was maybe $20 without insurance for a month. I'd also have to find a gp that would prescribe all of it and most of the doctors around here are seriously stuck on stupid.

I wish but I cut all unnecessary spending out until I move. My niece, her hubby and the kid moved in with all of us and will be here at least through the end of the year. And she brought her dog that I'm allergic to and the cat that has gone into heat five times in the last two months. Oh, to top it off she's having another baby in Dec. I need out of here before I go insane or blow up on someone

I hadn't thought of that but maybe later in the year. My parents have been back and forth to IA for the past 2 yr dealing with my grandparents that they need me around to keep the house intact. My grandfather passed away last month, which was a relief because of his Alzheimer's, and my grandmother finally got her way and nobody will stay with her. Now it's a waiting game because we all know she won't make it long on her own. My uncle and his family aren't far away so they do stop in and check on her but she told her favorite grandkid to turn around and leave as soon as she got in the door a few days ago.

Let me know when you set one up, I'll see if I can send a little something your way to help you out. No promises, but I'll do what I can, even if I just share it around to help you get more noticed. I hope things get better with your grandma too. I really do.

I do miss her but I know that wherever she is after this life she had a good run here. Callous wouldn't have even crossed my mind. They'll be back next weekend then one more trip up to finish clearing things out and hopefully selling the house. My cousin's were talking about what they were taking and one of them had the brass to think she was getting half of grandma's money. My mom told me she's bringing me yarn and my great grandmother's knitting needles and I'm much happier with that than if I was getting jewelry or knickknacks like they all want.

Got it, I'm WraitRhio

Well in that case, I'm glad she's not suffering. It sounds like she deserves a well deserved rest. As for the trips; I'm glad things are clearing up fairly quickly. I hope you the house sells as well. It seems that you all need that last bit of closure. I'm sure it still sucks though. Let me know if I can help any way. Not much I can do, but I'll be an ear to listen whenever you need. As for the family, that's bull hockey. That's so...dickey to just...yeah. Sorry. Your family. I shouldn't judge. But that's cold. At least in my opinion. I'm glad that you're at least getting the few things you wanted. The items are definitely better. Money disappears, but those items will hold memories forever, for you and your kids.

She was around 90, had kids, loads of grandkids, even more great grandkids and a few great, great grandkids. She was an ornery old lady who knew what she wanted and went for it. So yeah, well deserved rest for her. They're going to hold an auction with everything that isn't being given to anyone in the family, none of us really quilt and she had lots of quilt tops made up. I think they already have a buyer lined up for the house and property so it shouldn't take them long to get things wrapped up. My family up there suck ass, and it's not likely I'll see any of them again. My grandma had one necklace she wanted me to have so she had sent it down last year, it's a simple moonstone pendant on a chain, so it's something I will wear at some point. Other than that I'm more than happy with the craft stuff and I'm going to be nice and make all the assholes an angel ornament out of it. People I like will get a tree topper angel. So it'll be like sharing one last thing of her and if anybody says shit I will go to the next reunion and bitch them out like there's no tomorrow. I'm the crazy one in the family so they'd probably all be afraid of me after that, which suits me.

Well sounds like she had a fun life. Nothing wrong with being ornery if it gets you where you want to go. I bet she was a hell of a lot of fun. It sounds like most of the family has everything settled already. That's good. I hope it all goes cleanly. And since she already made sure you got what she wanted you to have, there shouldn't be any trouble at least. Which is good. You have enough going on as it is. Though your angel idea made me giggle. Sounds like a sneaky idea. I love it. You'll have to let me know how that turns out XD

My parents left Sun for, hopefully, the last trip up there. No idea if it's for a week or a month but I know they have people ready to buy the house once it's cleared out. My dad bought her car and he's bringing it home on a trailer along with as many totes as he can fit. My mom is going to try finishing off some of her quilt tops and I think my sister and I will be getting a bunch of yarn. I'm probably going to go cross eyed making the angels but it'll be worth it. I just have to figure out who exactly I'm making what for, huge families are a pain in that way.

Did they make the trip safely? I'm sure they at least let you know they made it safely. At least I'd hope they did. But that's good about the buyer. Quick and easy and less stressful. It sounds like you all have set yourselves quite a bit of projects. I wish all of you luck in finishing them. Don't stress to much on the angels. You'll figure it out. <3

MamaDoom823 In reply to crow-ash [2017-08-07 04:25:21 +0000 UTC]

They did but I have to call up there since the long distance is $ .15 a minute. They actually just got home earlier today but it looks like one more trip before it's done. Yard sales until people stopped coming and everything else is going to an auction house. They had several people interested in the house and property so I don't think they'll even have to list it. I figured my parents, siblings, uncle & aunt will get the tree topper and cousins, kids, nieces & nephews will get the ornament sized angel. If I can get one a week finished on average I'll be set with that and have them out in time for the holidays. I had to take a break from everything else and make a bathroom set for my nephew since he's getting married in a month.
On a positive note I have cut myself off from coffee after 3 pm, found a flavor for water that doesn't bother my system, and put a new filter in my brita water bottle.

Glad they made the trip safely. Hope the next one goes just as well. Good idea on the lawn sale, less to have to handle with and auction house and you all can pick the things you all want to keep. Any promising offers on the house yet? Good ides on the angels. Now you just have to manage it XD. I imagine it will get a bit tedious towards the middle after you've made so many of them XD keep going strong though <3 Congrats to your nephew too! Is the wedding planning going well? I'm glad you found something other than coffee. It's probably better for your system. What flavor did you find?

MamaDoom823 In reply to crow-ash [2017-08-16 01:25:02 +0000 UTC]

The last trip home was rough because they drove my sister home and spent a night in MI with her before coming down. Then the ac in the truck went out and it was either raining or raging heat. We're all heading up on the 30th for the wedding, I think. My son is flying because he's in the wedding party, I'm riding up with my girls, my sister and her two grandsons and my parents are mostly undecided but going.
I think I told you about all the drama regarding my sister's oldest grandson, his father died a few years ago and the mother was an idiot. She let my sister take him for a month this summer but was arrested for driving while drunk and on heroin. So my sister now has legal guardianship of him until the state says she's a fit parent. Her daughter is now in the custody of the father and he will make her fight to get that baby back after all the crap she pulled.
For the water I'm mostly using pineapple Crush flavoring, the other flavors give me heartburn. Most days I'm actually drinking 2-3 cups of coffee and 3-5 cups of water. I've only had one Monster this month but that might change with the road trip since I have to help my sister stay awake.
So how's tricks on your end?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crow-ash In reply to MamaDoom823 [2017-08-29 00:41:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I can see why that would be a bit rough. No AC in any heat or in the rain would definitely suck. I'm glad they seemed to have made it alright. Sounds like you all got it set up for the wedding. I hope you enjoy the road trip with your littles. They can be pretty fun. Just be safe on it. You and the kids both. I hope the rest decide to go too. I'm not a wedding person, but I know they're important and you shouldn't miss them when it's family.

You told me a bit of it. I'm glad he's in a safe place. And that's good. She definitely doesn't need a kid if she's going to be a moron about it. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a damn long time before she proves she's worthy when the stuff she was on is hard as hell to kick. I wish her luck though. Hopefully she'll clean up enough that her kid will at least will be able to respect her. The pineapple crush? I don't think I've tried that one. I'm glad you at least found that one. Sorry about all the heartburn. That can't be any fun. Have any of the doctors been able to give you anything for it?

Life sucks on this end. Not much has really changed. Thankfully I have vacation coming up. Me and Prettiburd from discord will be going to a convention before heading down to New Orleans. Planning on moving up to NC after we get back so only a couple more months here, maybe. If I don't burn it down first.

My sister's ex offered to help her with air fare so I told her to go for it. BB didn't want to miss that much school at the beginning of the year and is under the opinion that nobody up there likes her since they never talk to her when they're down. Then the person who was supposed to watch the dog while everyone was out of state broke a leg. I got the gift made and my older daughter is going up with my parents. She's going to IA with them for a few weeks after the wedding and can't wait to unplug and get away from stress.
He's happy being down here and when the mom gets out and cleaned up she's planning to move down here and be away from all the bad habits there. For the kid's sake I hope she pulls it off but for now it's just wait and see.
As for the pineapple crush I wouldn't recommend it or the other flavors. I was looking to see if it had any warning labels since my asthma has gone crazy the last few weeks. The stuff is genetically engineered. The store had restocked that section and I was able to find 2 of the flavors I like that are clear. It's the red dye in food stuffs that causes heartburn, along with bad attitude in kids. Also, I just saw a new doctor today and I now have meds for my anxiety attacks, my arthritis meds, and a new inhaler. I'm a complete mess with more issues than Time magazine but I'm a scrappy bitch who refuses to stay down.
Well that's a shame but focus on the happy thought that is the convention. I've never been to New Orleans so you'll have to tell me how it is. And have lots of fun while you're there. I think NC is where a couple friends moved ages ago and they love it there. Burning it down might be a little over the top but it's hella fun to imagine.

Well it sounds like everyone is starting to get everything in order finally. I'm glad. Everything seemed to be a bit hectic for all of you, so it's good that you've all banded around each other to step up like that. Sorry about BB though. It has to suck thinking that no one likes you. I hope it got better for her. Or that it will anyway. Is your friend okay? Leg healing alright now? A stress free environment is kind of what all of you need at the moment. And I'm glad everyone is settling, including the boy. Wish his mom the best. I'm with you, hope she manages it. He could use his mama I'm sure.
Oh...okay. Yeah. No pineapple Crush. That can't be good if it has those side effects. Do the other two settle with you well enough? I hope so. And congrats on the new meds! I'm super happy for you. Hopefully they work well. I know they don't always, or they take time, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. After everything, you could at least use the break on your meds.
We had a blast. I busted my ass and rebroke my foot, but it was so worth it. I think you'd like it. It's a fun place, just expensive. That's the only real downside. We tend to stay in the Quarter, so it's not cheap in the least. We always have fun when we go though. I'm glad your friends like it. We have a friend up there that's gonna help us settle in when we finally get our asses up there. And yeah...it might be over the top, but it deserves it. I work 12 hour days with a 15 minute break 1 hour into my shift...MAYBE. We're busy as fuck and my coworkers are morons. I'd trap them all inside while I burnt it if I could.
Sorry it took me so long to respond. Promise I wasn't ignoring you. Just vacation and work. Hope your well. <3

Things were coming together and then Irma came to FL. We left town for 2 days and luckily had no storm damage beyond broken branches and the power being out for most of that week. We're slowly getting things back where they belong because we were worried mostly about flooding so everything that needed to and could went upwards. A friend of my dad's had a generator so when his wife cooked a turkey they sent half of it over here with a load of sides. A friend of his got power back earlier than most and sent his generator over here so we had the fridge, lights and could run the window a/c in the living room and the all important coffee pot.
The clear drink mixes don't have side effects so I'm set as long as they have at least one in stock. The meds are working and they don't knock me out like they used to, another plus. My asthma is at least being managed better and I am working on quitting smoking, again.
I'm glad you had fun, you need it as badly as I do. Rebroke? Ouchies, be more careful. I've seen that rent is more expensive in the city itself if there's proof of haunting. After working in a haunted place no thanks. Now the haunted Halloween tours would be another story altogether.
Ugh, those hours are just not right. Stupid coworkers only make it worse. Burning it down is looking less over the top.
No worries, completely understand about life happening. My youngest wants to be Kid Flash from the DC comics, Young Justice costume style. It's going to be a challenge to say the least.

Family birthday season has started and we have my nieces wedding in 2 wk so I need all the time I can get lol. We're already planning out Halloween costumes since BB and my oldest go to a convention just before then. BB decided she wants to be Chaos from Heaven's Lost Property or Sora no Otoshimono.
How's it on your end?

Is your grandma okay? I'm guessing since your mom is home she it, but still, wish her the best from a random stranger
Ahhhh. Birthday season in your family too? Joyous isn't it? I'm glad that you at least have the girls in school so you can catch a breather between everything else. Congrats to your niece too. Hope you all enjoy the festivities.
Oh? What convention are you all going too? As for the cosplays, niiiiice choices. Very nice. I'm sure they'll look fantastic.
My end...let's see. My hours at work picked back up so I'm working upwards of 12 hours a day again. My car is fixed and it's running so yay. Vacation is next week, so me and my roommate are heading to North Carolina for the week to get out of town. Looking forward to that. And we have another convention ourselves. We're going to be going to the one in Lafayette. So there's that too. Other than that I have possible lime disease and my doctors gave me the wrong pills and its made me sick. Soooo...yeah.

She's just getting old, not moving around so well and starting to forget the little things. They put my grandpa in a home because his dementia got to be too much so she's on her own. The woman is half blind and hasn't been able to hear less than a yell since I was kid but she insists she won't go into assisted living because she's still got her mind, which she says at least 10 times a day. My uncle spends most of the time out with her but he's had pneumonia for a year and half so it's hard on him. For varied reasons the rest of his family isn't allowed to stay out there so my dad is going up to stay with her in Oct.
The wedding is driving my sister nuts since she's had to do most of the planning and prep. The fiance forgot to get with his buddy about renting the chairs so now she's got less than 2 wk to solve that problem. My mom just finished altering the dress and the whole thing is going to be at my sister's best friends home so that's two things handled. All kinds of crazy that I'm staying out of.
The kids go to Necronomicon. It's a scifi fantasy con that's been going on for 30 or so years now and my late hubby went to most of them. My oldest has been going for about 10 yr now and this will be BB 4th time. She and a friend got awards in the costume contest last year and they went as steampunk Red Riding Hood twins. I'm going to do a poor mans projector with a box and lamp to take the tracing of the wings and shine it onto the foam board base. Probably going to paper mache on top of that to get the detailing then paint them.
Working longer and getting more money is a good thing. The car being up is better and the vacation is awesome. Conventions are loads of fun so yay for that too.
Geez though on the lime disease. I was tested for that and it's scary to have to wait for the test results. Mine turned out to be early onset arthritis and that's no picnic either. Did the pill thing get fixed or is it another waiting game?

I'm sorry to hear about her. At least you know she's being looked after. Even if most of the family is unable to help, as least someone is there with her to take care of her. I also hope your Uncle feels better. It must be hard on them both.
Wow. Yeah, I can imagine that is driving her crazy. She can handle it though, I'm sure. Did she find chairs at least? I hope so. I suppose they could always make the guests stand and they sit Joking of course. I'm glad the dress and everything is at least handled. It seems she has it under control.
Oh that's so cool! I've never been to that one. Is it fun? It must be for them to be so loyal to it. That's awesome about the awards. Are they planning on competing again this year? If so that'd be awesome and I wish them luck. Do you have any pics of the costumes? I haven't seen any steam punk red riding hoods before and I'd love to see one. I'm sure they were amazing if they won. Question, do you know any good places to get a Kimono. I want to cosplay an OC of mine but I'm having trouble finding a decent Kimono and the last time I ordered offline the sizing was all wrong.
I'm glad it wasn't lime though. That would suck. I stopped taking the meds, but they didn't fix it. Twice I've had appointments and when I went they said I wasn't even in their schedule so I'm just going to find a new doctor. After that and the mess up with the meds, I'm just not going to waste my time. On top of that, every appointment I've had, I didn't even see MY doctor. It was the other and she only talked to me for 2-3 minutes and I already owe them 300 dollars...sooo...done.

My dad is heading back up there next week and he'll probably stay a while. There's a thing in IA that if both farm owners go into nursing homes then the state steps in and takes the property and everything on it. He'll be going through as much of it as he can before they have to put her in a home. I'm so glad that I don't live there at least
Not surprisingly my dad came through and got the chairs from his church for the wedding. He also took photos for her since they couldn't find someone affordable to hire. They wrote their own vows and while his were sweet my niece managed to call him an idiot twice in hers. My older sister gave really good lessons on being a bitch. I made my grandmothers Danish recipe for rice pudding and some Danish wedding cookies. The pudding didn't set but still tasted good and everybody loved the cookies. Never been to a potluck wedding before so that was interesting.
I've gone to Necro several times but my late hubby went for almost every year since they started and was in the group that hosted it. A lot of his friends are in it still and the kids stay with BB godfather so that's a huge relief for me. I don't have any pics as they were running late getting out last year and for Halloween she was being a grump. This year she and a friend are going as Ikaros & Chaos from Sora no Otoshimono/Heaven's Lost Property and I will sit on her if I have to so I can get a picture. My oldest found a Lolita dress that I'll be trying to make and I have no idea if Katiedid will do anything. If I have time I got some Halloween fabric to make myself a Wa Lolita outfit. I'm betting it'll get cold right before then since we'll all be wearing dresses or skirts. I've found directions on how to get the measurements and do all the cutting for kimono online. I haven't made the obi and all the belting properly but other than that it isn't too hard. I made an Inu Yasha cosplay several years ago, with the shortened kimono and hakama, all from written directions. Sadly the computer I had that site bookmarked on died and I can't find the exact one anymore.
Well shit, that sucks absolute ass about the whole doctor situation. I see a specialist and my self pay cost is $75 but I only have to see him every 4-6 mo. When they call in the right amount of refills, which they just fucked up again. The medical system in this country is so screwed up. Doctors used to make house calls and would accept livestock or homemade goods in trade. Now they think they're gods and should be worshiped with piles of gold.

Wow, that's nothing like the venue Diru was at in Chicago. I'll bet other than VIP the floor is going to be the most expensive ticket T-T

I keep a change jar and I had almost enough for a cheap ticket in it. The thing got emptied out over the summer when I ordered a Black Moral tee & hide plush lol.

hehe, I wouldn't have room for that size. I have the little one with the 'knit hat'.
I'm actually wearing the tee now, 'My life didn't please me so I created my life' and I'll be bringing it with me

You can get an unofficial one from Cafe Press, the placement is a bit off from the one they had but otherwise looks the same. I might do it one day, preferably after I drop some weight.
I'd like to get the one were he's in a suit & tie or the plaid because that one makes me giggle. Oh my gods was he ever. Did you see the last interview he did? He was asked what he'd do if he was a woman for a day or something like that. His response was to go out and have as much sex as he could.
Ticket for the live is bought!
