DA is a self moderating site, it's up to all DA's members to report theft when we come across it, that's why every deviation has a report button. Obviously you've never had anything stolen on you or you wouldn't be so damn caviler about it.

Sorry if I intruded on a comment that was on your profile, but it just rubbed me the wrong way and I couldn't let it slide. I don't get how people can think like this. They think it's okay so long as it doesn't affect them and turn a blind eye. Man, I would hate to have this guy as a neighbor, if my house were being robbed he/she'd probably ignore it because it wouldn't be "their headache".
I wanted to say, I appreciate you and Alpha-aku taking the time to tell everyone you could that that Pop photo was stolen. I wish DA had more people like you guys.

thanks :] on my old profile i had a picture stolen. it was such an awful time for me. and it esp sucked because since my photo wasnt as memorable as this one, after a while people started accusing ME of stealing my own photo

That really sucks, even if you hated your old username, what a dismal reason to have to create a new account. I really hate art thieves. I have never had anything stolen on DA (at least, not to my knowledge), but I did have a disc stolen when I was in college. It had a bunch of my stories and poems saved to it. I felt so violated and helpless. It's a horrible feeling, no one should have to go through it.
And, I've come to the conclusion that this guy that's commented on your profile here is an idiot. I checked out his DA page and he's accusing us of hating and trolling him all because we told him the photo was stolen.

really? cool!!! i love it. my real name is marissa and i had a friend translate my name into japanese [even though it coulds easily be pronounced ma-ri-sa] but she came up with mareyu somehow but thats hard to say and to explain to people on how to say it and then she started calling me mariko and i loved it!!! congrats on actually having ownership of the name though ^_^
