# About me

Hi, I'm Meghan, the artist behind Mariposa Miniatures.
I am a tea lover, a bird watcher, a hoarder of cute things, a full time daydreamer, and since I was very young, I knew I wanted to create. I wanted to create anything and everything I could possibly dream about.

My work combines a variety of artistic mediums. Not only are all of my pieces hand sculpted, but I meticulously paint and glaze each one by hand. I love to sketch out my ideas before creating a new piece, and I always find myself making up little stories about each one, as if they were their own character in a story book. While sculpting is the main medium, I love that I can employ so many others in the creation of my work.

I've always preferred miniatures over larger sculptures, mostly because it meant I could have a whole bunch. I love being able to hold my work in the palm of my hand; such a tiny piece with so much character.
