thanks hun, no I don't do my own photography. I use stock pieces in my work and manipulate them.
I appreciate that you adore my art. That pleases me. especially since I been on a temporary hiatus from creating new work.
Thats great that you are looking to create more fantasy pieces. I am sure there is many pieces here be it in my gallery or stock providers galleries to inspire you. I am going to watch you so I will not miss any photos you may submit

Yes this is a great forum to get inspiration from. My learning curve is going to be huge as l thought l was okay with photoshop as l have been using it for 15 years, but now l realise l know very little. If l have any questions on technical issues can l ask you??

lol I hear ya on that Mark. Well you may be surprised when I tell you I would not be able to answer any photo shop technical issues because I do not use photo shop to do my work.
I am old School I started painting digitally over 16 yrs ago in a paint program called Jasc Paint Shop Pro 5. I have since upgraded each time they upgraded all the way to version 7 and stopped because they sold the company to Corel and they made the new upgrades thereafter that I personally don't like the tool layout so I stuck with Paint Shop 7.
I have found when fooling with Adobe CS3 and or Photo Shop ( Because I have had them all ) that its very hard to what I already know in Paint Shop. So I tend to always go back to what I know. Maybe because I learned in it thats why. The funny thing is my friends who work in photo shop said paint shop is hard for them lol so guess it all depends on what we originally start and learn with.
But feel free to ask no matter I may know the answer lol

Thanks Barb, yes we are creatures of habit and change always comes with a price, switching platforms is a long learning curve so l understand. Have been with photoshop for 15 years so l would hate to change myself. Do you have a website Barb??? and which country are you from??.
I did my first design yesterday, technically a bit sloppy, took me about 3 hours, nothing to orriginal as still practising, would love to hear your thoughts.

welcome Mark, so true we are that arent we.
I am in process of making a another site aside from this one its far from done. So when it is i will let ya know the url
I am from United States ( Chicago ) what about u?
I like the piece u did. You did a great job, I seen you forgot the stock owners names. Heres a tip from one artist to another also because u are new here.
When u browse for the stock u wish to use open a note or word pad and copy the url of the stock as u downloaded it and paste it saying what ever it is ie Model, background or wings etc.. Then save the note as "Stock Used" This way when u are done with ya manip and u are submitting it u then open it and copy and paste all the info into the artist comments section. Then notify the stock owner with a link to your piece,( Read their rules some like notification on actual stock page in a comment and some like to get a note ) I advise ya to do this because stock owners get a bit perturbed when people use their stock and do not credit or notify. Some go nuts and accuse ya of thievery so take my advice to follow rules here. You will thank me later lol

Thanks for the advice, l realised when l had finished l wouldnt be able to find the stock owners. Thanks for the fav comment on the design, bit of a mess, but only took me a few hours. Need more exp in cutting hair out of backgrounds. I will start shooting models for these designs soon, happy to pass on anything you may like in high rez, Im from Australia, did a stint of work in USA for 3 months in Calafornia, was going to do some teaching (digital photography) in Chicago but never got there. Here is a link to my web www. marklorton.com.au I find most of the free stock is small in size why is this?? I need to create large murals 30 or 40 inches but cant get many of these stock images to go that far. What is the best stock sites for larger sizes ? or do you have to buy them?
P.S If you need web sites done l use chinese and india countries to do the work for me basic charges of $6 per hour, let me know if u need there contact details.
Cheers
Mark

welcome my friend. Wow nice photographs !! Great work I wish u were here I would get some photos taken by ya. I love the Glamour ones most of all but also loved the others
As for stock on large scale. When u are browsing stock and see something u like are you right clicking to save it to ya computer or clicking "download" because most times when downloaded the pics are pretty big.
If u like u can look through my favorites gallery which are categorized by type )I have stock folders in there of stock I love to use and pretty much all of these providers have large scale stock. The stock providers I have stock from are also pretty well known here. If you are
looking for stock to manipulate then print or sell u must make sure the provider allows this.
Unless you purchase stock with the freedom of use plainly stated you must make sure .
Thanks for the offer of help on web site. But I am good I just been on hiatus for a bit because of some health issues. When I am in full force again I will get back on the track of completing it. its going to be on Wix. Have you heard of them. They have some great tools there heres there site [link]
Well have to go my friend have a great day again check out my favorite folders for stock I have tons saved
Salute
