Shivering, Janelle trudged through the snow with the small party of Allen, Bookman, and Lavi. She hung back a little, wishing she'd thought to bring at least some pants with her, since her tan and brown dress under her coat was not doing much to keep her warm. Rubbing her arms furiously, she did her best to keep up, but everyone else had dressed a lot warmer than she, and could walk faster.
'I don't even know what I'm doing here . . .' she whined to herself. She didn't get along too well with extreme cold unless she was dressed for it. Closing her eyes to ease the hurt from the chill on them, she felt something warm wrap around her shoulders.
"Hey, don't be afraid to say something if you're cold, right?" her head shot up at the all-too-familiar voice, and she blinked a couple of times as she could have sworn something seemed off.
Lavi grinned at her, and it clicked finally. He wasn't wearing his scarf . . . that was the warm something wrapped around her shoulders. Her cheeks burned bright red, and she clamped her mouth shut. Swallowing hard and blinking a few times, she smiled weakly before passing out in a dead faint.
"Idiot! Didn't I tell you leave her be?" Bookman yelled, hitting the redhead.
"I'm not gonna leave her to freeze in the snow, you old panda!" he retorted, recieving another blow to the head.
"Since you're so worried about her, you carry her." The older man hit him one more time before turning around again to continue walking.
"Well, you heard him, let's go cutie." Lavi muttered as he picked up the small blonde girl.
