HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Maybe they like were childhood friends but when Elli's little sister was born he had to stop hanging out with him, then they both ended up being wizards and going to eterna academia so they reconnected and are bffs again uwu Maybe they could have been, like, pen pals??? And they talked to each other about their powers and then when they both went to EA they met each other for the first time
