Hey,
Thanks for all the input on my designs. It's nice to get both good and bad remarks. All three of these were done from concept to pencils to photoshop in about 3 hours. I agree about the chains looking a bit cheap and inexpensive playground chains, but I've never really drawn chains before so that's how they came out. Mirror images you say... Give the man a cigar. I just flipped the hands and chains to save some time. I wasn't going for a full out finished piece of artwork here, just an idea of what direction I think Vic has become. As far as the "webbed" hands... I was going for the amaceated look. Originally I had the skin ripping away from the bones, but the sketch didn't look the way I wanted so I went with the sunken in skin look on the Vic be Heard III. I like the way the shading came out on the hands better than the original.
Thanks again for the info,
Dave (ride0)

My meddlesome calculations may have impressed some, perhaps, but this talent for observation and first impresions is left untrained, or unused, when individuals gaze upon my own galaxy of art.

While it's good to be organized in your approach to your artwork, a lot of times all that information is given to you by the employer rather than you telling them how you work. Do quality work and have good interviewing skills that allow for flexibility with regards to what it is they're looking for. Making demands for advance payments? (chuckles) Good luck with that. Do what you need to do for the job, and be prepared to eat it on costs sometimes until you're well established. The term starving artists didn't come from nowhere

Well, I was thinking commissions... which would likely be a negotiable contract. The outline would be the basics to start from. I didn't see it as a demand for advance payments. For a commission, it should be said that I cannot do certain projects without materials, especially if it is something I don't normally do. Thanks for the response. Good to see someone's reading it.
