Hi Mei-Fui, thanks for faving the "Bleak House..." photograph. Perhaps not my favourite submission and certainly not the cheeriest landscape I've captured but I did like recreating the effect of an old vintage postcard. I clearly remember equally unwelcoming views on postcards, with slightly distorted colour tones and browned edges, outside seaside shops when I was a kid...

I must correct the illusion, created for drama by the title, that this was a caged kitty.

In reality, the window screen was for security of the house not to incarcerate the cat
