I'm looking for some advice. Is it possible that to get good at coloring takes a long time of patience and practice??

If you're looking at me for colouring digitally then uuuuh I might not be the right person LOL.
Traditional art, then yes, it takes patience and practice. I'm no professional really, I don't have a far range of colours to choose from compared to artists who have multiples of good pencil crayons or other mediums like copic markers and such, but I try to make the best of what I have. Shading also takes a few times to figure out as you need to pay attention to where the light is hitting and what you are shading, such as the wrinkles in clothing or someone's face. I also take time to plan which colours can be combined to be used for shading as well, such as me using yellow, orange and tan (although there must be a better combination haha) to shade in yellow clothing or gold. But I feel like it's up to the artist on the combination of colours really.
I dunno if this helps since I don't know if I consider myself good at colouring but I hope it did? XD
