# About me

In my art, I like to capture moods and tones. I do not care for color. While some argue that it adds life to a piece, I find it can be distracting from my content and line work, preferring it to stand on it's own black and white legs.
I like my art to seem solemn, to capture a calm or gloomy intensity. With an Asian inspired comic style, I try to show a sort of tragic atmosphere in my dark fantasy pieces. I feel that if I can capture a mood with black and white alone, then my work is successful.
Once I finish the pencil work, it is often followed by inking or by digital clean up to reinforce it for clear and concise lines. Unless stated otherwise, all pictures posted are pencil or ink, not digital.
I try to be very definitive with my work, generally give it a clear-cut shape to reflect the ideas commonly featured, like themes of good vs. evil inspired by Greek myths and classic literature, such as The Odyssey of Homer or Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Hey! I saw your comment on youtube about art teachers bashing your style in art class and I decided to check out your art. You're good. All I have to say is that you should work on fundamentals, but that's every artist. :D (Big Grin)
