ahh shit lol, modelling i guess, the animating side is pretty easy but ye modelling is a start

Right well that's something I just can't explain without demonstration.
I guess the only advice I can give is that you use as many different tools and methods for modelling as you can, meaning. NO box -> extrude and repeat a million times. Try using more no matter how basic. when it comes to 3d for games, then your main goal is to keep within polycount.

they made us work with flash 4 da 1st semester and make a game in it, also go over art skills to better prepare us for 3d this jan..
they are going to eventually teach us, i'm jus gettin a head start
