# About me
Born in Oxford England, Michael started drawing and showing an interest in art from an early age. Over the years, he has explored many different methods to express himself.He started out working as a bench joiner and then later re-trained as a stonemason; as a stone mason and carver, Michael worked on a number of public art projects alongside contemporary artists, helping them to realize their visions in stone. In his spare time, he utilized various workshops and expanded on his own ideas.
Michael's skill set is wide and varied. In 2013, his design for the Thame youth memorial was unveiled in his local town, a project that was four years in planning. It provided the town with a lasting memorial in stone for grieving friends and parents of young children that had their lives cut short within the Thame and surrounding village area.
He has always been a keen portrait artist, working in pastel pencil and oils but has transitioned into the digital art scene, working with Sketch Book Pro and a Wacom tablet. He is also exploring 3-D modelling programs, such as Zbrush. Michaels's love of cult movies is prevalent in his latest work. He is now taking commissions.

I don't believe that's true! we all are at different stages of the same path! and it's nice to see at least we all draw different things. I personally believe drawing is fundamental, I only drew in pen and pencil for ten years, rebelling against an art teacher who said real skill is with color, and working in black and white would amount to nothing! My early work is very different, but valid even to me now, It's not about seeing things as good or bad but knowing where you mite improve. I don't care how good someone is they can always improve! If you look closely there are holes in my work!
