The first FMA series ended and in 2009 they made a new anime called Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood which is a remake with a totally different storyline. The manga is still going and FMA Brotherhood is based off the manga's plot. And yes they both did but he's a dick and didn't choose anyone in the manga or the animes. LOL

Oh. I wasn't sure, because in episode 49 of the 2003 series, when ed and rose were dancing together in that ballroom, and that lady attacked roses baby, and then they started arguing about the baby's life, and then she said, "like father, like son." and then ed looks horrified at the baby. so i just wondered if she was suggesting that ed was somehow the father.
before that girl came with the baby, rose looked like she was going to tell ed something, so i wondered if maybe she'd say something like, "ur that baby's daddy!"

Ahah no. Dante, that woman who threw the baby, said that she referred to Hohenhiem and Ed; Hohenhiem, his father, was sent to the other side of the gate prior to that moment where Dante was going to do the same to Ed. The baby is not Edward's as he never had any form of intercourse between Rose in the story.
