Hi what can I say... Hmm well I'm a big fan of colors on the Nintendo DS an awesome little program which can also be used on the Iphone/Ipod etc. I draw to relax my main joy 'if that's the right word to use' is redrawing other peoples work and I can't stress enough that I don't do it for any kind of profit its purely for fun, I get a buzz from redrawing some fantastic piece of art from some amazing artists on the small screen of the DS. Most are from wallpaper sites but I have also noticed some lead back to people here on deviant art so if I post your art here redrawn by me on the DS I apologise but also hopefully I've done your work justice, let me know and I'll gladly shout you as the original author with a link to where ever your work is, I only do it out of great respect of the artist basically if I have copied your work I see it as truly spectacular and have great admiration for the artist, anyway I've babbled enough I hope you like some of my own work but also like works I've redrawn.Current Residence: U.K

wow this gallery is insane and way underrated, I came here after seeing all of your colors 3d stuff and your work has been a great inspiration and i can only hope to be anywhere as close to your standard in the future but for now i will keep up to date with your work from now on and keep practicing.

Dude, do you mind me asking what type of DS you use for using colors! on? I'm currently using one of the original big silvery grey ones, wondering if newer models may be better suited.

I'm currently using the DSi, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the 3DS when colors officially release there dedicated version for the 3D format but I couldn't really tell you which is best because I've only ever used the DSi

See I was considering getting the DSiXL for it just because of the larger screen I might be more comfortable with that like my graphics tablet.

Strange that I've just been talking to another lad from the colors gallery and he swears by the DSiXL just for the bigger screen, its just a shame colors didn't bring out a dedicated cartridge for the DS in stead of it just being for homebrew or I'd be tempted to get the DSiXL aswell as my screens about busted but because the R4 cards etc are outlawed here in the U.K I'm torn between the DSiXL and the 3DS like yourself I'm not sure what to do

do R4carts not work with the DSiXL because they are banned here? Coz I have one, but I don't see any harm in using it if you're not pirating software with it. I bought it exclusively so I could use colors for my DS.

Yer they work fine I think as long as its a dedicated cart for the DSi because the old DS and the newer Dsi's use different versions of the R4 carts, I also have one but I'm just thinking ahead that if it my cart breaks which isn't the first time where would I replace it from if there band from sale and maybe's its easier to get the 3DS so I can get the new version of colors which they'll keep updating where as the homebrew version has now been abandoned and is dead in the water

I'm tempted by the DSiXL but when I've Weigh up the pro's and cons I think the 3DS comes out on top slightly and like you say probably best off seeing how the 3DS colors goes first

Sorry i've not replied to ya bro, still a bit busy. Ordering a tablet right now, taking that last advice to put all this shit into my art lol.
I love the DS, but it's getting old, and bamboo pen tablets are like 70 bucks...cheaper than a DS lite

The bamboo is awesome
should have gotten the pen and touch version though, now i'm using my keyboard and mouse with the tablet, as it has no buttons...
but it comes with a free program and it's friggen awesome. Drew up a picture just now on it; it's a sketch, but it was fun

IMO, Painter is good. The tablet is bottom line considering it has zero button features...but i just didn't want to pick up the pen and touch on acount of my having no money haha.
Trust me man, you do some awesome work on that DS that blow me away, i'm quite sure you would fall in love with a tablet.
