Hi Mikael ! I know you like Fallout so maybe that will interest you (or maybe you've already saw them). [link] few gameplay movies from F3. I think they've killed this beautiful game What do you think about it ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MikaelGrizzly In reply to Hassanah [2008-09-06 19:06:31 +0000 UTC]

Yes, saw them... as someone on NMA said, it's a very uneven game - some things are spot on (like the Protectron, a clever nod to Robbie the Robot) but most are... a complete miss.

If this was billed as an FPS, a spin-off, there'd be no problem, but since it's named Fallout 3... it's a complete failure. I agree, they killed it. And will rape the corpse with FO4 and 5

Well , that's sad true 30 days more and we'll see what they've made ^^ Anyway i think it will be something like F:BoS on 3-D engine , where only one thing is important - shooting :/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MikaelGrizzly In reply to Hassanah [2008-09-06 21:33:24 +0000 UTC]

Currently, my mind is focused on a superior FPS - STALKER Clear Sky. Amazing, but buggy. I lost half of my progress due to a random bug, but apart from that, it's a blast, definitely worth picking up.

One suggestion though - wait a month or two before you buy FO3 - the first month is crucial to ZeniMax and if it sells poor in the first month... that'll at least earn Hines and Howard a face-to-face session with their boss

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-07 15:17:12 +0000 UTC]

Well i remember first part of STALKER was bugged , but many mods made it playable however XD
But it was a great game anyway. I haven't played Clear Sky yet , but when i'll come back to Poland i'll give it a try (i only hope it will launch on my old PC XD)

Probably i'll buy F3 as soon as possible, becouse in next month i'm going to Poland for two weeks , and i want to test/see this game. F3 will not run on my laptop , so only way to see it is ps3 I must take the risk of buying it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MikaelGrizzly In reply to Hassanah [2008-09-07 15:46:48 +0000 UTC]

To be honest, I'd suggest picking up an Xbox 360 instead - way more games and ports from PC - the Orange Box and other Valve titles for example won't appear on PS3, since it has a completely different hardware architecture and all programs would have to be rewritten.

Clear Sky will run smoothly on any computer that could run Shadow of Chernobyl smoothly - as long as you don't try turning on dynamic lighting. And it's really atmospheric, even more so than Shadow....

I assume your Dutchland job is a permanent one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-07 20:30:48 +0000 UTC]

Well i already have ps3 for few months but i've only played on it for 3 days (weekend in PL )
And personally i prefer Sony than another wonderful thing from Microsoft. I don't trust x360 , there are many problems with it (especially with overheating, my neighbour have one and after few hours of intense playing the cables inside just melted down ^^ )
Many titles from x360 are on pc too , so buying it is pointless.
If Clear Sky has the same system requirements as SoC, then it won't be a problem XD
Yes my job is a permanent one. Anyway it's far better than sitting in PL and earn ~1350 per month

Thing that puts me off from consoles in general is how much they focus on consuming ready-made stuff and stump creativity. Fan stuff is where my heart is at, and that's why I propably won't get a console, instead opting to hook up my computer to the TV set.

The Xbrick does have those issues, unfortunately... the RROD being the most prevalent and horrible.

Mind telling me who you work as? I plan to stay in the homelands for now - particularly because I'm studying law, and it's awesome.

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-08 18:35:40 +0000 UTC]

Well i prefer playing on PC , i'm not a big fan of consoles too but anyway there are few really cool games (mostly RPG). Yeah RROD made Xbox really famous
Well in Poland i was working as a cook (my parents told me, if you will be a cook then you'll have a good job and good payout for it. Now i see how good it was...4 wasted years ) In NL i'm working as a common worker at construction site. Job is really awesome, and payouts for it are really good (in PL i got smth like 1400 zl per month , now it's 1600-2000 E, so the difference is really hudge. And friends from NL told me it's a small payout in NL ). Working in PL is a big mistake. It's really funny when our goverment says something like : "There are a lot of job opportunities in PL, but people don't want to work here." PL is a one big mess right now, after studies you should get out from PL as soon as possible And if you're studying law, then i'm sure that you'll find a very nice job. (but not in PL )

Ah, a fellow PC lover!

To be honest, I did considering moving out to GB or DE, but that primarily depends on whether or not my relationship will survive the next five months of absolutely no contact...

As a law student, I don't think I would have problems with making ends meet in Poland. I considered a career as a notary or lawyer...

That, and I love our country. And the people I drink with

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-09 19:07:09 +0000 UTC]

Hehe PC is still a good machine XD
GB is a good decision, my cousin is working there for 3 years now and he's very pleased. As a notary or lawyer you shouldn't get any problems with finding job in PL. It only depends how much money do you want to get from work. In GB or anywhere else you'll get min 3x more then in PL. First i was planning to go there with my friend , but finally i get better offer in NL. I really love NL right now (especially love it for Harley Davidson convention and free striptease on it ), everything here is absolutely amazing (sometimes funny as hell). I'm still amazed by Dutch people , they're so kind and friendly. Random people on streets just saying hello , greets you, want to speak for a while. It's really nice , not like in PL I love our country only becouse it's so beautiful , and for nothing more. Ooooh i forget about Polish vodka and beer , i miss them sooo much

MikaelGrizzly In reply to Hassanah [2008-09-10 07:32:37 +0000 UTC]

To be honest, I've never really had a problem with people here. Then again, I'm a joyful happy-go-lucky guy that likes making people smile, so I tend to have primarily positive interactions.

I'm not sure about the wages, though, especially since British common law is substantially different from continental law - unless I find myself a position in a corporation or something, which will need my skills primarily.

That said, I finish my studies around 2011, and in 2012 Poland is supposed to adopt Euro as the currency, meaning, we will be bound by EU wage regulations. So, I'll be completing year one of three for my application (not yet decided whether it's going to be a notary or lawyer one).

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-10 19:38:12 +0000 UTC]

Well i'm always happy and kind to everyone... but try to say Hello ! or How are you? in PL to random people XD They'll think you're crazy or something
Well in 2012 Poland will fall completly. If they'll really accept euro... then we're doomed. If situation with euro in PL will be the same as it was in NL ( 98% probability it will be the same , thanks to our beloved goverment)then i don't want to think about it. When NL accepted euro the prices in shops were still the same, if something costs for example 12 gouldens (it's old NL value , hope i typed it correctly ) now it costs 12 euro. Well if i earn ~1400 zΕ‚ in PL , in 2012 i'll earn something about 450E , and if the prices will be the same (or higher ) then i won't survive to the next month I'm really tired living in PL, working for all days for nothing, more than half of my money goes for taxes, flat, car and other bullshit. Everything is expensive like hell and payouts are so small I'm really happy that Polsih ZΕ‚oty is weak now , and price for Euro is going up (it was really sick when Euro costed 3,12 zl). Many poeple are saying the world will end in 2012, well i think the Poland will end instead of world

I disagree. While it seems that life gets worse and worse, I've checked the statistics and my family fiscal history, and it's been steadily improving. True, a small amount each year, but nonetheless it keeps improving for us.

I don't think the conversion will be that bad here - it'd be commercial suicide. I'm a born optimist, though.

Not to mention that the situation in the Netherlands improved, did it not?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-10 21:57:47 +0000 UTC]

It's going worse for years. Situation in NL is not bad. Before accepting euro payouts were much higher than now. The same will be in PL. Diffrence is only that in PL common people will earn maybe (if everything will be extremely fine) 600E, in NL they're earning ~4000. But NL is also one of the richest countries in EU. Even people from Germany comes here for work. Poland has a chance to become better place but they must change actual goverment Nothing more than a band of idiots who are killing our motherland. I'm little bit optimistic too but only time will tell about PL future

MikaelGrizzly In reply to Hassanah [2008-09-11 13:29:57 +0000 UTC]

We've got the worst behind us - PiS is no longer in control. While PO is a bit slow on making their promises count, the style of governing alone is what wins me.

Poland has a chance to become a great place, and from the look of things, slowly, but steady we are improving.

At this rate we'll be a superpower in 2099! \o/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hassanah In reply to MikaelGrizzly [2008-09-11 18:27:11 +0000 UTC]

Well i agree. In 2077 will be the nuclear war from Fallout , and only Poland will survive. It will be something like Enclave from F2 And PL will become ultimate superpower

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MikaelGrizzly In reply to Hassanah [2008-09-12 19:47:33 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes.

Then we take the remaining French nukes (the pussies wouldn't launch propably ) and nuke any US survivors that pick up our transmissions and are foolish enough to respond.
