Don't ask how I found this comment of yours.

1.) The piece cannot be found anymore > I think they removed it.
2.) It doesn't work asking others to help you reporting art thiefs. I tried several times to report people who stole works of artist who are afraid of reporting the case themselves. All I got was a decline from the staff, saying that I should contact the victim telling them that they themself have to report it. THEY SIMPLY WON'T DEAL WITH IT IF THE ARTIST THEMSELF DON'T REACT ON THE THEFT! Sad but true. You'd better try reacting yourself, if it happens. send in links to both works and that's it. Or you can just do by reporting the work on the thief's account, telling that it's yours and providing a link to your original. You will have to do this with all stolen works then.
Otherwise nobody will take action apart from reading the report and moving on.

I reported it on both problems. Both were resolved. On the first report, the bottom box said "any extra contact info?". I thought it just said "any extra info?" so I left it blank. When I got a note later saying I "needed information". I asked some people to help. Later I realized that it said "contact info" so I added my email to the report. It was resolved.

Hmm well, extra info would be exactly the area to state things like that it's your work, or a link if you have uploaded it elsewhere than on dA, with proof of date, for example.

They had an info section and I thought the other was saying basically "anything else you want to add?" but it was asking for contact info. There's a box dedicated to adding links to your original.

Okay. Well, I don't use that feature too often, rather when I find obviously miscategorized works where it's obvious that the artist did it to get more attention. But at least your problem was solved.
