Thank you very much! I’d say the most important thing is inspiration to be honest - so long as you have a story, book, movie, etc in mind to motivate you, it’ll make studying whatever media you’re interested in easier. It’s important to have fun where you can, so you don’t get burnt out from the study and hard work aspects.
Speaking more technically, I studied anatomy in many years of classes. The best method to get it down to me was figure drawings, which are very fast drawings studied from a model in various poses. They typically ranged from a minute to only a few seconds each, and studying it fast allows you to quickly point out the motion, weight, and anatomy of the model. The best way to study art is from life and reference!

Hi! I’m honored you’d look to me for advice. For animators, usually the most helpful tips are the 12 Principles of Animation. They discuss different aspects of animation, such as weight, timing, and spacing, and there’s probably several video examples of each on youtube! I highly recommend studying those. If you mean more literally of how to start, i’d recommend digital applications like Flipaclip (free), Toonboom Harmony (monthly payments), or Tv Paint (one payment, but expensive). I actually use Clip Studio Paint and Paint Tool Sai with Windows Movie Maker to make most of my animations, which aren’t animation programs, but they can still make frame by frame and are cheaper. Hopefully this helps! Let me know if you’re curious of anything more specific and I’ll see what I can share.
