I'm sure there's an awesome "love from afar" song out there, but I can't think of one.
He loves you deeply though, but because of his being unsure of how you feel about him he keeps his distance unless you give him a sign that you want him around. He watches over you, but at a distance. You'd have to really look to find him in your dreams.
