That's because I hacked my camera to take the picture directly from the sensor so the image doesn't get JPEG compression You should try it. It's called CHDK I think. I also use Adobe Lightroom 3 for developing/post-processing the images. Both of our cameras produce a lot of noise no matter what ISO they are set at.
