It is canon that if a Muggleborn witch or wizard gets their letter, an employee of the Ministry comes to explain everything and accompany them to buy their supplies for Hogwarts. So what if Tristan is that employee? And they get to Diagon alley and Tristan's all like "Oh, my youngest is your age, he's starting Hogwarts too~ He'll probably buying supplies with his siblings, maybe we'll run into them~"
