I'm at 5, fighting the Boss: Aster Protoflorian. My sis and I can't seem to figure out in keeping Hop alive ughhhh. We'll be almost beating him, and then Hope just gives up lolol

yeah.
it's the next fight with lightning and hope after odin
i not have to fight this boss yet, i am on the way with sazh and vanille, curtly afdter the fight against odin.
i loosed the first two fights against odin, because i was too weak and had not the right strategy.
my tipps for each boss:
1.train more (for caution)
2.make a test fight for strategy (to know, which paradigm lightning and hope have to need)
3. watch gameplays (where other players show their equipment,level and paradigm
(dunno if it helps)

hope have to use the ravager (and in between the medic) and lightning the commando paradigm
and in my opinion, at the beginning of the fight, BOTH have to use the ravager paradigm
first the ravager, to charging the stagger.
in between you have to change, that lightning use the command to keep the stagger (with attacking the boss)

you batter have this kinds of paradigm:
Lightning , Hope
- Ravager Ravager
- Command Ravager
- Command Medic
- Ravager Medic

first, for charging you take the first one.
to keep the stagger, the second.
to heal and to keep, the third.
and it's up to you if you use the fourth, but it's better to have it
Use Odin?
Not at the beginning and not in the middle. just at the end, when you think you can finish it with him.

Our main problem when we change to command ravager, they both start dying fast and when we use potion it doesn't really help. I guess we should train them more first xD

wich paradigma types use hope in your game?

so you have to train hope as a 'supporter'
he HAVE to learn, medic,ravager and synagist.

'cause you get Fang later and the optimal team for fighting is Lightning,Hope and Fang
So you have to specialize Hope on ravager,medic and synagist. so he is the 'supporter' in the background.
fang use then Sentinel,Synergist and Commander.
lightning use then Commander,Medic and Ravager.
Got it?

it was very difficult for me, to find out wich names the other paradigm have... :I

yeah, it's important.
he speaks protect and shell.
the best combination for this is:
Lightning Hope
- Medic Synergist
in the time, where hope speaks
-shell
(Increases resistance to magical damage)
and
-protectra
(Increases resistance to physical damage),
Lightning have to heal him.
...
or have to heal herself

and after your status Increase, you have to chose the paradigm
Lightning hope
- medic medic
for healing the both faster
lightning have o heal hope and hope heal lightning

yeah, i started to analyze battles since i lose versus the Finalboss in
Final Fantasy IV (it's a very amazing game for Nintendo DS)
and then...
i trained myself up to level 92? (i was level... 70 or 80 before)
but you could defeat him, even if you was level 65

yeah, i got this to my birthday in 2008.
i played and played
and then i came to the final boss.
I lost
In didn't play for maybe one year.
then i trained - and i defeated him xD

the graphic is really good for the DS
the story is very epic

actually, the game is forth of the story...bad
square enix was too busy with the graphic, that they forgot to think about a good story (sry. i can't delineate better for you...)

i dunno if you think the same about it...
but for 'goog-graphic-'lovers is the game perfect
in my opinion, the music is awesome, and sure, the graphic too, but the story was a flop

you have other editions of the game than we, here in europe
we have the same edition like the one you'll get, but with a FFXIII-2 t-shirt, a special picture of lightning and 6 collector's post cards, with the ffxiii-2 characteres on it. That's the Crystal edition.
And we have a limited collector's edition, cheaper than the crystal edition. [link]
