Thank you for the kind comment! It would indeed be awesome, but sadly I don't plan on it. I am choosing characters for this series based on the original story. I have one more piece that I've been working on, then the set will be complete :) (Smile)

I don't mind at all! I use several different methods for my masks, depending on what kind I'm making. For my first mask (the werewolf costume), I followed missmonster's instructable here .

Currently, I'm experimenting with a style of mask that incorporates paper mache (with brown grocery bags and wallpaper paste), spackle, and lots of sanding and paint. That's how I made my Sokka mask. With all my masks, I usually add some natural elements like fur, horsehair, or bones. My newer masks have eyes made out of resin, a method I actually adopted from fursuiting practices: video here .

Thank you, in my spare time I like to practice making masks because I find them to be very interesting, plus they are a fun to make.

I usually, I'll use plaster just because I've worked with it a few times. But I was just curious because your Sokka one looks very good. ^^

Thanks! :) (Smile) I use plaster bandage as a base for most of my masks. Some other materials you can experiment with are celluclay, spackle, vegetable-tanned leather, and traditional paper mache. Painted mesh also makes a really interesting mask material (my voodoo zombie mask is made out of mesh).

Well both are issues, but I always find I have a few colors I naturally gravitate towards. It's hard to push myself in new directions. Often times I'll see another artist use a really interesting color palette, but I won't be able to make it work myself. I think it's just one of those things I'll get used to as I continue working :) (Smile)

I think we all have our 'comfort colors' haha... Mine tends to lean towards red and purple. But at least if you work digitally with colors you can do several different ones and try to get the best result.
