# About me
I was but i've made this account so i can post better art.I am indeed engaged to and have been for the past three years or so.
I am studying Illustration at a college that shall remain nameless for the moment, until I get a degree. I specialize in Pen and Ink, as well as digital work. Though typically on here I post digital works, since they are easier for me to access and upload on a whim.
Hopefully one day I can be a freelance Illustrator, but knowing how that field of specialty works, I might end up teaching as well. Either way I'll be getting my Masters somewhere and making a comfortable living.

Hi there, I just came here to tell you that we used to watch each other I was at a cloud-no-9 account and I just visited it a while ago and I'm so glad I did because I found you here! Your arts improved so so much since those good times

You know, if you were to make lineart, I could color it for you and let you upload it on Deviant art. All I'd have to do is email it to you.

It's cool, I'm trying to work on my digital coloring more so that way it won't be so ragged. I like it ragged, but it ends up looking unfinished sometimes.

Dude, you need to stop being such a downer. Nobody on here cares if you suffer from depression. They care about your art, which is very beautiful, by the way. You need to stop torturing yourself. I don't think it's healthy. Learn to look at your drawings and think about the small changes you could make the NEXT time you draw them. Shoot, I even re-draw pictures from several yeas ago. Not everybody can draw, so you should consider yourself lucky. I know I do for myself. Just....look at the bright-side...even if one person says you can't draw, you still have many MANY others who disagree. Thankyou for the watch, by the way.

Also, it's kind of hard to be optimistic sometimes when I have a teacher in class that I have to appease with my art (Trust me, I've tried not caring about his opinion, it results in an 'F')and therefore I tend to be a little more frustrated about how I feel towards my art. I understand you're trying to be helpful but all you've really done is frustrate me in the fact that you're someone I don't know that's talking to me about how I should feel, when you don't really know much about me aside from what this stupid profile said before (I changed it because I realize I must have written it when I wasn't feeling intelligent).
If I come off as a little belligerent, I'm not trying to be, I'm just trying to explain myself as much as I can so that I won't get more frustrated.

I know I don't know you. But that's not the point. I have problems too...but I have to learn to push them aside sometimes. Look, don't let your teacher bring you down. I think you have cool art...what does HIS opinion matter? You don't have to blow things out of proportion. All I said was look at the bright-side. Damn, I was paying you a compliment by saying you shouldn't under-estimate your art, but obviously you'd rather chew me out for telling you not to be such a downer and be happy. If most of the time you're happy....then show it. People like to see the positive side in others. I'm one of those people. All I was trying to say was to see the better in yourself and screw what you opposers think. I should have figured you'd react in a negative manner. If you had any sense of being able to read what one says and detect the tone, you would have known I was not stating anything in a scolding tone, but more empathetic. All I know is, you let something irritate you....that wasn't even meant, nor should have irritated you. I did not come off hostile in any way. I'm sorry i said to try and improove in ways you see fit, and I'm sorry I wanted you to pick your spirits up and not be depressed.

I'm sorry that I'm kinda rawr right now. (I can't think of words) I don't mean to be. You seem cool and all, but really that just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. I don't even know. I'm not freaked out about anything though. I just kinda wasn't expecting someone to react so hard to anything (Especially stuff I don't remember writing, that profile was pretty stupid, I don't think it was like that before so idk what happened there.)
It's not your fault, I just have a lot going on right now and it's driving me crazy.

I understand. Those moments tend to happen to alot of people. Just keep in mind that words are not hurtful until you read them the wrong way. Read them in a more empathetic tone, and you'll see that it was more caring than mean.

You did it in kind of a rude way. If you had sense you would realize that you shouldn't immediately jump onto someone's back about their lives, especially someone that is currently in a situation that is stressful.
Aside from that, the thing that worries me about my teacher's opinion is that his opinion is basically the opinion of a commissioner. Therefore, his opinion means money in my future. I don't really expect you to understand that idea yet, seeing as you're still in high school and don't have to worry about being a freelance artist or whatever. Granted I don't either, but the reality of it is that I'm getting closer and closer to the point that I have to start worrying and yeah it kinda freaks me out.
Aside from that, you did come off as kind of aggressive in your first comment, and I did feel attacked, even if that wasn't your intention. I understand that there are people like you out there that try to be positive, but like I said, the wording could have been more so.

TheDarklyDreamer In reply to TheCorsettDoll [2012-04-11 22:51:59 +0000 UTC]
No, the wording was not the problem. It was the way you read it. I hope to become a manga artist...that is my specialty, afterall. By the way, you don't have to have a teacher to learn anything about art. I'm a self-taught artist. What do you use for inspiration? That could be your problem. Perhaps you aren't in the right mood for what you do draw?

I wanted to do concept design for like movies and perhaps video games. I have a feeling the reason why I haven't been having a good time with my teacher is just because we're both really strong personalities. And most of the projects we've been doing sound really cool at first, but then when I do them I'm like '....uhm..' example: Right now we have to illustrate ingredients for recipes.
..The hell? lol, I don't know about you but drawing eggs and flour isn't exactly enthralling

To hell it isn't XD WTF!? EGGS Yes, because THAT would help you. See? His opinion DOESN'T matter. You need to join a gamers class if that's what you want to go into. It's called...graphic design class XD

TheCorsettDoll In reply to TheDarklyDreamer [2012-04-14 16:49:55 +0000 UTC]
Noo, I don't wanna isolate myself into graphic design because I suck at most of those kind of classes. I like being an illustration major because it broadens what I can do. Like, the thing with the eggs and stuff, he said that the type of illustration they are (spot illustrations) can cost 100 bucks an illustration. Then if a magazine is commissioning you to do, say 10, of them, that's an easy 1,000 bucks.
Can you imagine what kind of awesome it would be if it were like, fifty illustrations?

That's not going to help you with video games O__O But you want to know the fun part? GETTING a magezine to commisson you.

I'm not being a downer. I'm keeping people up to date with what's going on.
I UNDERSTAND that my art is alright, but in all seriousness, really? I mean, really? I'm having a hard time, there are friends on here that I keep up to date on how everything is because I don't have any way of talking to them otherwise.
I know also that you are trying to be optimistic, but in all seriousness, it kinda doesn't really help when you start out with 'dude don't be such a downer'. I'm not torturing myself, obviously, because if I were things would be much worse and NOTHING I said would be happy. My other account is filled with optimism. I keep myself in check that there are things I can improve on constantly and all that. My life is where I want it, roughly, though these past two semesters (when I started this account I think, I don't know) have been utter hell for me.
I guess you're welcome, I wasn't really expecting someone to tell me to be 'happy' even though most of the time I am.
