I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Things are going pretty well with me. I'm in the third month of taking female hormones, so I'm in the early stages of transitioning. The Italian edition of "Opey the Warhead" got a positive review in one of the biggest magazines in Italy, as well. I've been working on a new comic "Rivals" and have finally got around to working on new pages of "Opey the Warhead". All in all, I've been kind of busy.

Have you gotten through to some publishers by the way? Also I was curious have you got a Tumblr by any chance, as that would be a good site for you to exhibit your work, before moving onto a professional website.
There seems to be quite a decent amount of Illustrators and comic artists using it to get their work out there. All the best Zac, hope things pick up. x

I don't have a tumblr and I'm still working on the publisher angle.
Right now, though, I've been having problems of another nature. I've been a shut-in, finding difficulty going outside. It's connected to my age, in a way. I've written all about in my latest journal.

It's a hard one to call Zac, I think everyone can say they have hit rock bottom at some point in life. It's how to get back on your feet is what you need to ask yourself, what drives you to keep going. Think about what social changes you can make in your life, that will mean human interaction is a regular occurrence and that the interior of a building doesn't become your prison.
Whether that's moving to a new place, a job that puts some order or meaning into your schedule, or maybe it's just a hobby that will get you out of the house. You've got to strive for the things you enjoy, but also reach out to others and make sure you try out as much as you possibly can. As you mentioned in your journal you wanted to walk more, which is a good start, maybe even biking around will help. (Exercise will help increase your serotonin)
As for the age issue I think everyone thinks that way, I've given time thinking about it too. Problem is it's not going to help dwelling over it, sometimes you have to try your hardest to see the positives of your situation or things will only ever get harder. Think about what your good at, what you have achieved and what your potential is.
Planning out your weeks may help too, taking a pro-active approach to your schedule may help you get out of the rut you've gotten into. If you make worthwhile use of your time then you will get a less overbearing feeling, but I'd stress that you need to think of ways to increase social interaction in your day to day life.
Also be ambitious with what you want from life, aim for the moon and you may end up on a mountain. I really hope you can get up on your feet Zac, you've got a lot going for you, all the best. x

You worry about your age from time to time? It's funny but I've been conflicted about this since I was 25. Age is an issue that keeps haunting me but it's something no person can control. It also shouldn't be an impediment to happiness. I just wish I could get that through my thick skull.
By the way, something that's always impressed me about you is your wisdom. You're wise beyond your years. Man, is that a rarity these days.

Yeah course I do, I worry about what I'm gonna be doing in 5 years time and whether I've spent the last few years well. I also know of people who really get down about it, but there's no real point doing it you can't change the past and letting negative thoughts take hold will only bog you down.
Instead of seeing age as a barrier, think about the fact that it's a great thing to be alive and that in itself is a miracle. Make the most of what you got, and take pride in the skills you have.
