Wow, no, I hadn't seen it. I don't have time to read it right now, but thank you, I'll do it later !
However, I found some good fanfiction post-698 which are much better than the ending. If I find these again, I'll send them to you. 

Some SS and NH fans are really in denial O_o I'm actually surprised that some of them would dare to say that the characters are happy/good fathers when they obviously are not, and futhermore acting totally OOC, especially Naruto, while the women's personnality are totally crushed to become irrelevant housewives (even if Hinata has always been a little irrelevant in Naruto's life, except for guilt-tripping him into dating her... wtf, that's not romantic, that's creepy. Her crush and personnality were sort of cute before shippuden, when she dared to speak up, showing a great potential... which died in Shippuden.)

To me, Naruto's story only lasted to chapter 1 from chapter 698. Sakura could have been great, Hinata could have been great, Naruto could have become a beautiful man, Sasuke a happy one, if still changed by his past, no longer traumatized... But no, Kishi had to go and do some shitty fan-service and a shitty ending which would allow him to make another serie with recycled elements.

Would explain so much, considering what happened to Neji during that battle- slashed across shoulder by kunai, got six kunai in the back, got an arrow through the other shoulder, got a cut on his cheek from another arrow that missed but was such a close call, before finally getting one through his lower torso that slammed him into a tree. After all that, he’d be out for days, if not weeks.

If anything, I’d love to see someone make a fanfic that deconstructs and picks apart the ending of Naruto and does a “reality ensues” kind of thing. Would love to read such a thing.

I think the worst thing about Naruto Shippuden is all that destiny and prophecy bullshit. Wasn't Naruto supposed to be about a nobody-pariah who worked so hard to change his life, without caring about things like "destiny" ? And then Kishi throw us a prophecy and a reincarnation shit, destroying all of Naruto's achievements and the meaning of his and Neji's battle. How terrible. And Sasuke and Naruto's relationships is so much more than "well, we're kind of close just because of thoses souls in our body, not because we formed a bond on our own, lololol"

And so true, that prophecy and destiny stuff in Part 2 destroyed everything about fighting destiny in Part 1.

That's why, in my Naruto re-write AU, which will be titled “The Tale of Neji Hyūga”, that prophecy and destiny stuff in Part 2 and pretty much all of Part 2 will get a re-write. There's minor bits in Part 1 that will get re-written and parts that will be expanded upon and suchlike.

That won't be necessary, dear; I didn't like much of Part II either. It begged too many questions for me...

But yeah, that's what I keep hearing from fans, that they consider 698 the true ending, while 699 and 700+ are just Kishi's fancomic to satisfy the higher-ups at Shonen Jump and Studio Pierrot

In any case, when you do have the time to read the pilot chapter, please tell me what you thought of it and do check out my group for it, ^^

HI ! Sorry it took me so long to answer, I wrote an answer yesterday but it got somehow deleted before I could send it and I got frustrated --'
I did read the Pilot, and god, it was so inspiring ! I love the fact that Naruto IS a Nine-tailed fox. It adds a kind of mischief at his character. 

Besides, I can't help imagining other characters of the main series thrown in this different universe (Team 7 and Iruka, first). Would Naruto go to a regular school with the Rookie 12 as classmates, or live a thug life ? What would be his relationship with Kakashi ? What about his mother ? What would be Sasuke's role in his story, what about the Akatsuki, Itachi ?... How would evolve Sakura ?

So many mysteries and stories to write !

So many mysteries and stories to write! Those were my thoughts exactly! And I too try to imagine the other characters in the pilotverse, and have similar questions about what their roles would be! In fact, I've started my own pilotverse story, The True Tale of Naruto Uzumaki , AND have also written my pilot take on Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, Tapestry of the Feathered Robe .

Also, my dear friend and group's co-founder, , has been designing my revamps of the Tailed Beasts and my counterparts for them, the Headed Beasts

There are also others constructing their own pilotverses: and . I'm sure they'd be happy to chat with you ^^

Moreover, I want you to know that should you write a pilotverse of your own, I will be more than happy to help you ^^
