# About me

Born in the northernmost region of Austria / Europe I use to live far away from city-noise and stress. I'm running a small studio for graphics and design and I'm really into taking photos. In addition I'm a singer, drummer and guitar-player and there have been released a few records by my projects SERGEANT PLUCK HIMSELF and the band LAUSCH.

I really love your art! I am a photographer myself and you are one of my inspirations. I really don't want you to
think "agh, what kind of spam is this?", I really mean this!

So, would you be so kind and take a look in my Photography folder in my gallery and give me some critic? I want to get better, but it's hard when no one notice your work and no one give you honest opinions!

I decided to be straight forward with my favorite photographers here on dA and ask them for help!

Thank you for your message, I really appreciate! I'm honoured you ask me for feedback on your work. I have to admit I'm not really the guy telling people how to do their work. When I like things, I say it loudly, when I don't like some art, I keep my mouth shut, because finally it's always just my view of things. Too many people out there are talking shit about others hard work, instead of underlining the postivie aspects.

Well, but when I get asked I of course will answer. For me photography is all about a personal style of the artist. When I see a photo which got this personal touch of the person who shot it, I get touched. My main points therefore are: motive, focus and colour (light). You can take technical perfect photos but without any interesting motive to show, the picture will not work. And you can mulitply the effect of a good motive with the right focus and lighting. I personally have no problem with heavy post-editing (in photoshop or whatever you are using), but I think it always should keep the motive in focus, so for me taking photos is not about the post-editing, it's about the moment you press the button on the camera.

So let's talk about YOUR pictures :-) (Smile) There are two things which impressed me first. On the one hand it's the two night-shots you took. You really got great light here and a lot of expression in the motive. Great shots! And on the other hand your portraits are good work as well. I can feel you got an eye for taking photos, it's very much about the feeling for the whole process. I think you are on track. Just make your own way, find your style and keep on working. And don't listen to much to what other people are saying, especially when it's negative.

Thank you so much for the constructive feedback on my photographs. I feel like I can trust my own instinct a bit more, since I now know it's not just in my head, other people think it's good too, you know? ;) (Wink)
