It's really good; you should watch it.

Basically, it happens in a post-apocalyptic world where vampires have enslaved humans and treat them like livestock. The story starts with a group of orphans who consider each other "family", who are captured by these vampires. At one point, two of them start planning an escape, but when they do so, taking their "family" along with them, the vampires find out and kill them all, except for one, who manages to escape, and another, who is left on the verge of death.

The boy who escaped, the protagonist, flees from the vampire city and is found by a group of humans, who form part of an organization that fights against the vampires. He joins them and trains to learn to kill all the vampires, to avenge his dead family.

Little does he know, one of the boys, the one he was closest to, didn't die. He's the one they left on the verge of death I mentioned earlier. He gets turned into a vampire and all he wants is to find his brother to flee with him, to flee from all the fights and the misery.

It's a really beautiful story, because one of the brothers tries to find the other to flee with him, while the other wants to avenge his death, and even though they're on different sides, they still care so much about each other...

And yeah, it's a really beautiful story. It's a story that's not all cliché-y and romantic, and the way they approached the vampire topic is really unique. I think it's the best "vampire" concept I've found so far in anime/books/movies.

I just remembered a quote from him that may help you get a better idea of his personality (side note: When he says "livestock" he refers to the humans they have enslaved):

"Who "protects" livestock? We OWN them."
