Yea I've been keeping myself busy with a couple other sites, but I still make sure to check in at least once a day to see what's going on.  While it has been a few months since I've posted something new, I know it's normal for me to go through cycles of activity.  But one thing is for sure, I always seem to have a number of unfinished projects that I won't let myself abandon, so I'll always keep coming back.

Anyway, it's good to hear from you after such a long time!  How have things been?  Got anything interesting to share?

well, my nerves are trashed enough i cannot corset even for a short period of time anymore but i am selling adoptables and commissions well enough that i pay for my internet for it<3

Welcome!  I am new to the Kill La Kill Series but it has quickly become my most favorite, the only problem is I am very quickly approaching the end of the series on Netflix!

Well that sounds like an awesome birthday present, your friend is lucky to have you!

I suppose the only real difficulty I had when I first started was actually trying to tie a knot behind my back; trust me it's more difficult than it sounds.  Now I recommend practicing with a mirror rather than simply wrapping the laces around the waist, that can be hard on the corset.  After a while it gets easier but make sure your careful to tie a proper knot, I once got stuck in one of my corsets for nearly 45 minutes trying to undo a mess of a knot.  I would also recommend wearing some sort of liner whether it be a cotton T-Shirt or as I prefer a synthetic undershirt, to protect the corset from the oil in your skin.

There is also something I noticed and I don't believe is mentioned nearly enough is that when you are lacing down to reductions of more than four inches, it becomes actually very easy if you first lace your corset as tight as you comfortably can then wait 15 - 30 minutes before continuing.  It will allow for the body to adjust to the pressure, making it easier to lace down and will put less stress on the corset.

Lastly, at first it was a little difficult to get in the hours required to produce more drastic reductions so for a while I was sleeping in one a few times per week.  It's probably not for everyone but it does help and it can be a bit of an interesting experience; there is nothing quite like the feeling of waking up laced into a corset!

Thanks, I appreciate that.  I suppose I am a bit curious of other peoples experiences or reasons when it comes to this kind of thing.  So I decided to share a few of my own.

Because I believe that male tight lacing is not at all common or even generally known I suppose that I would prefer just a small amount of understanding from others rather than acceptance.

But if you have any similar thoughts to share I would be interested in hearing about it.

personally i feel it has two main veins people pick up on, one it is a form of effeminate-yet-masculine victorian beauty whose revival is not without merit due to twenty years of steampunk influence and a burgeoning culture of male androgenine over in japan and the us(even if the reasons are a little skewed on both) and that it is much more easy to be genderfliud in some places than it was a generation ago but not as normal as it will be a generation from now and we lack sufficient gender-neutral clothing that is not bland


for a shorter ver;
it is becoming ok again to be genderfluid in fashion
there are not outlets for that fluidity that are gaudy enough to make everyone happy yet


for now anyone who wants to be feminine has to flirt with the line of male/female until we can make a third class of neutral(no that i feel there ever will be a true one in the lifetimes of anyone born yet today) that can encompass a desire to look of one one without /being/ it



of course my own issue is i find the things beautiful and intriguing and like how a few pieces of fabric and metal can radically alter what is ultimately a fundamental part of your anatomy just by adding lace and friction without killing you or changing what you are(within reason)

That was actually really insightful.  I have never really given the word effeminate much though but after I did a bit of reading, I believe that it probably best exemplifies why I am drawn to corsetry.  In simplest terms for me it's an attraction to something that I believe is beautiful and elegant, and I simply want to embrace it.

I would agree with you in saying that we are likely far from a true gender neutral class that is considered acceptable but actually in my mind that might not be such a bad thing.  What I mean by this is that I believe that a large part of the appeal for gender-fluidity is the fact that it is a for the time being it's a taboo.  It becomes exciting, noteworthy, and most importantly a defining trait; which is essential for the development of an individuals identity.  It is my view that identity, including gender, is much like a muscle, in order for it to grow stronger it must first encounter resistance.

But for the time being, I am fine with flirting with the edge of feminism, it has the curious effect of making one feel genuine.

you darling would have made a fine victorian in the fashion sense. you capture the sentiments even if the reason is not so socially on-par. while your honest efforts to toe the line physically would not have been so well received the way you speak and question is what made being male in that era so unique and interesting compared to other eras outside of the one we are just now coming into this last decade
