Hey, sorry for the delay... I've been pondering on your question, and from your gallery I presume you're doing digital art mostly...
First of all, draw A LOT - helps with everything else (painting, sculpture, etc). Do value studies too.
As for rendering, experiment with different materials... or if digital is your preference, experiment with different brushes in Photoshop (or whatever software you use). I would encourage doing traditional work too, it helps a lot.
Get familiar with basics of light and shadow - pretty sure you can find something on google...

You are probably familiar with all the basics, so, in that case, just practice, and you'll keep getting better
