I just read your reply on the picture entitled 'love' (or something along those lines).
I have a rather dry & scientific perspective on relationships in general. I'll show you my point of view if you show me yours

Well, keeping it short, I replied to your comment because I don't believe two people of the same sex can have a relationship built off of true love, but instead of lust. It is most often mistaken for love because the two participants don't truly know what their seeking, so they call it love, as that's the easiest thing to name it, and because then the relationship doesn't seem so bad when it's based off of "true love."
I believe that most modern, hereosexual relationships are also built on lust, but not for the same reasons.

I agree with what you say, to a certain extent. I believe that for lesbian couples it is different; that it is on the most part based on friendship. A friendship that is unknowingly believed by the participants as 'love'. The physical attraction is definitely there, but for 2 women it is friendship that keeps them

My best friend is homosexual & has only been 'out of the closet' since January of this year. I can see his rapid transformation (that I am not 100% fully approving of considering the fact that I no longer recognize him & how we once were inseparable, I now am pushed aside for his potential sexual exscapades ) & sex, I guarantee you, is most likely the #1 motive in their relationships. There are hundreds that would disagree & even frown upon after reading this statement, but after having a good hard glimpse into the gay community I know now that it isn't what I thought it was. It's mostly about the physical & lust. Most couples don't last long, is that not enough proof?
Heterosexual relationships are exactly the same now. Where once they were based on fidelity & the idea of building a family it is now based on 'Right Now'. That old saying 'I don't want to a find a Mr. Right, I want to find a Mr. Right-Now' applies fully to this.
The element of 'magic' is gone, sex runs this world & it's a damned shame. The media hasn't helped, nor have the multi-million dollar beauty corporations by infiltrating photoshopped babes in ever ad campaign.
This topic could seep into hundreds of others, but I'll hold myself back from venturing any further

I agree with everything you said. Surprisingly to myself, even the lesbian part, but I still believe that homosexuality is wrong, no matter what it's based off of.
Anyway, I like how you have a personal experience to back up what you say about male/male relationships, and I totally agree with it all. Like I said earlier, they call it "true love" without realizing what they're really looking for. It boils down to unmet needs manifesting themselves in the form of homosexual attractions and lust. The roots of homosexuality is a whole 'nother conversation, though.
As for heterosexual relationships, I agree with what you said there as well. Most modern relationships skip the "get to know one another" on the mental and relational, and skip right to the physical intimacy; most of these relationships don't last very long, paralleling the male/male relationships of lust.
Overall, I'm joyed to finally have a conversation with someone who, for the most part, shares the same views as me. Most people accept the world views and don't think it through for themselves. They have no idea what goes on "behind the scenes" of the gay community and think it's all "love and rainbows." As for those actually in the gay community, they're usually so biased, blinded by lust, and have something to prove to themselves and others, that they won't even listen.

Interesting post.
However, I'd have to disagree with your views on being against homosexuality. I used to be homophobic when I was much younger, basically out of ignorance. I believe it is possible for people of the same gender to fall in love & base a longterm relationship upon this love. Same as heterosexual couples, people fall in love with the characteristics of their partners thus growing attached to the point where they need to have that person by their side, always. Obviously there is physical attraction involved (I am a firm believer that you cannot fall in love with someone whom physically repulses you, there has to be a fraction of physical appeal).
However, the majority of both straight & gay couples do not have this mentality & as you mentioned in your post, skip straight to the 'sex' & thus get bored of one another easily because their relations are based on one thing only.
