Just wanted to send up some encouragement to keep up your good work. I'm impressed with the facial expressions in your icons of the saints, Mary, and Our Lord. I have a desire that Christian art on Deviant Art should be of the same high quality as a lot of the fantastic non-religious art on the site... but usually I find religious poems, bible studies, and spiritual thoughts for the day... not visual Christian art. Although I only have a couple of religious pieces in my gallery, I'm currently working on some pieces that are just taking me some time... one is based on Religious icons and the Sacred Heart of Jesus... but looking at it in a new, expanded way. I'm Protestant/Evangelical, but my best friend at work is devoutly Catholic, so he and I have a lot of discussions about our faith. Anyway... great work... keep it up!!! Edsel

Thank you so much for your kind words; they are very encouraging. Your work is absolutely stunning, and I look forward to seeing more of it. Although I too am Protestant by denomination, I have an immense love for the Catholic Church and a heart for Christian unity. This is behind all my work, a desire to celebrate Christ and His church in a way that is relatable to all Christians no matter what denomination. Thanks again!! - Jordan

So agreed on Christian Unity. Together, all the sincere and devout believers from the different Christian denominations are "the" Church. "One" body. Secularism is becoming more palatable than religion to people everyday. We Christians cannot afford to be fractious and divided... it misrepresents the One who saved us, and renders all at the beauty of His love as unappealing to the world. As my wife's aunt says, "Unity on the fundamentals of the Faith, grace on our different interpretations where they are not essential to the Faith."

Thanks so much! I am glad you liked them. It is very tempting to draw more, but I have concluded the series with Saraqael (for now at least). I'm glad that my descriptions were interesting too! Researching angels is fun.
