I notice you’re from Mexico! Lot of history there!
I found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don’t know much about their own
country, much less anyone else's.
I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness
about what's going on in the rest of the world.
Recently I’ve started my own private initiative; if I notice someone on DA is from
another country, if I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them
know that others are thinking about their home.
This update is about your home!
It is bordered by the United States in the north, Guatemala, Belize
and the Caribbean Sea in the southeast and by the Gulf of Mexico in the east.
The population is over 113 million.
Mexico City is the capital and has over 20 million inhabitants.
FACTS
Mexico is the third largest country in Latin America and the 13th largest
nation in the world.
It has a wide range of landscapes from arid plateaus in the north, to rain forests
in the south.
Mexico is very biodiverse and home to over 200,000 different animal species.
Only 10% of the country is arable.
Mexico is made up of 31 different states.
77.8% of the population are urbanite.
Half the population is under 20.
The state of Chiapas is the location of many Mayan ruins and home to one
of the largest indigenous populations in the country.
