Well, how old is they, typically? Cosette's only 18, so she can be pretty immature at times. And the more she's with Tony, the more she takes on some of his personality. I have her that way, because I know when I hang out with certain people, I start using their lingo and mannerisms, etc.

It depends on the character. Melina is 19, X23 is 16, Lightning is 23 I think, Rose is probably in her mid 30's. And there's tons more that I just can't think of right now ^.^|| You get that many, you can't just let them influence you all willy nillie >D

Hahaha I've probably created about 40-something OC's since middle school (I just graduated from high school this year. SEN10RS!!! lol), but I've only kept my alter-ego, which is now Cosette, and Casper, her clone/"twin". I had three boy OCs that interected with cosette my first half of high school, but they sort of dwindled into nothing but pleasent memories. Cos and Cas are just really important to me--- they're an outlet for me. I think I've just having Cosette-reactions because I'm pretty new on livejournal, and I've never had to "become" her before. Meathod acting a little, maybe? lol

I remember my high school days. Soo many ocs. I think I changed characters every week or so. The first one that really stuck was a Ranma 1/2 OC named Nanami. That's who I was using when I met my husband ^.^

Perhaps. I find it sort of hard to create characters that I really bond with as a creator. Like, it's hard for me to get into Casper's head. I adore him (as a character, as a person, he's fucked up and sick in the head), but I can't always predict how he's going to react. Cosette's been the only one I can do that with, so she and I are inseperatable. HAhaha. I can try though!

That's so cool! I didn't make a whole bunch of OCs in high school as in comparison to middle school. Probably because I had the computer at my mom's house (and i lived with her full time), so I didn't spend all my free time drawing, like I did when I lived part time with my dad before high school.

I think my explosion of ocs came about because of a combination of my having friends to bounce ideas off of, and my getting into rpgs like Chrono Trigger and FFIII(VI), as well as the discovery of anime which came not too long after. Before that, I think I made ocs, but I didn't know that's what they were, so they weren't memorable at all.

I don't relate to any of my characters though. The only fictional character I've ever related to remains Alice from the manga Please Save My Earth. But I think I wouldn't want to play them as much if that were the case. Because the point is to step into the shoes of someone who isn't like you ^.^||

That's a really good point. I'm having a lot of fun RPing Lottie (princess and the frog) right now. She's just so peppy and happy, and snobbish... it's fabulous!

After being in Drama for two years, and having to constantly be another character, it's nice to be able to come back to Cosette. She's sort of a mashup of me and my favorite friends, taking on a little bit of everyone's personality and traits. But she also interacts with a slew of other characters (being a supermultiverse OC), so she reacts to or takes on their traits too. Kind of like every person I've met. I mean, there's a lot o things she does that I could NEVER ever do, and there's things I do, she wouldn't do either... In that sense, it's like becoming a different person, like I do with Lottie or in acting, but I've seen her grow and change over the years.

It's always nice to have a character evolve like that. Eifel has been the most stable place for my characters to do that so far. It's taken a long time to get there too ^.^|| I remember when Nani was just an AU Namine.
