I am! There's lots of opportunities to be a better cartoonist here. The drawing classes are terrific, and they have illustration classes now and then. Plus, they even have 3D animation classes!

That's great! I've literally just now been reading this blog by John Kricfalusi, the creator of Ren & Stimpy. To be honest, I am not a fan of Ren & Stimpy, mostly because it's pretty disturbed 0.0 but I've always had great respect for the animation and his blog is full of gold nuggets of information. I'll send you the link, you might get some interesting things out of it!

Oh, I see. My art teacher has told me that drawing is the heart of animation, moreso than illustration, computer skills, and such. I'll be taking as many drawing classes as I can so that hopefully I'll be prepared for an animation class, if it is eventually offered.

Drawing is certainly the heart of animation - even if you're doing 3D animation it's dramatically important that you know how to draw, I remember reading the Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams, and he spent the whole first section of the book stressing the importance of drawing XD

It's a spiritual remake to Tetsuwan Atom for (Astro Boy) made by Osamu Tezuka for Toei Animation, however, Tezuka had conflicts with the network and he decided to cancel it with just 27 episodes.
The story is about a robot created by Dr. Yamanoue (who did the body) and Dr. Kawashimo (who made the electronic brain) named Mars (after the roman God of war of same name).
Dr. Yamanoue wants to use Mars powers for warfare while Dr. Kawashimo wish him to be noble and righteous.
Mars don't like to study and admire Dr. Yamanoue, but it's not aware that he is using him as a prototype for a new series of robot models designed for war.
Mars also have a older sister called Miri who was created by Dr. Kawashimo and a young baby robot brother named Melchi who was created after Dr. Yamanoue's death.
