Merry Christmas!

Hope you have an awesome one. Was up till 5 last night, so today is pretty much a write off, our tradition is to stay up and party on christmas eve then when it hits midnight we open up all our presents. Got home at 3, but i played BC2 Vietnam when i got home and got distracted and played for 2 hrs lol, its pretty awesome.

lol Nice. I got to bed at 3, 'cause I had to finish off a Secret Santa pic after I got home from the family dinner. Pretty hard trying to wake up to open presents this morning. lol

Spent Christmas eve with the Finnish side as usual, which was just awesome, and had Christmas lunch with some of my mum's side. <3

Joel got Cataclysm (WoW) from my mum. He's been downloading the patch allllll day and it's still going.

I think the download was about 7 gig? And 'cause we had the firewall on it was still going when we got back home from lunch. He just finished downloading everything now. He's making a Wargen.

I suppose I'll end up getting Cataclysm when I get paid. Broke from buying everyone presents. lol Wouldn't mind exploring the place again with Joel. I don't expect to play for more than a month though. lol Knowing me...

I think they changed the human/elf hands. D= They're all big now. I think it's supposed to be stylized... lol Looks a bit funny to me. Not that hands are a big deal. xD More textures n' muscle definition is shown now too.


Any way, I'm still really looking forward to GW2. D= I wish they at least knew whether it'd be in a certain quarter of the year and announce that much!

That how to draw comics the MARVEL way actually had some pretty good tips, you can find it on youtube, it's also a book.

I feel like i should sketch more but i always go over board or i cant be bothered lol. But im gunna only sketch for a while and draw and get my style more simplified and try to pump stuff out quicker until it becomes second nature.

Crap, but why would u not want it to be C: drive? My brother tried something like that with his last comp, where the operating system and programs were on another drive, it didnt work out too well lol.

Never tried ME2, my comp is too crap, its supposed to be really good, but it doesnt look that good to me lol. You should try download the Vanquish demo, its pretty fun.

I dunno, when I saw Vanquish I thought it looked just like ME2, but I was less impressed. xD I'd just been playing it right before hand, but... Yeah. I do plan to give it a go next month, once our d/l limit resets.

ME2 is quite addicting. Had such a great time playing the demo, I had to get the full game. It's good to have a decent PC again.

As for the hard drives... Originally that's just how things turned out when we did it on XP. I think it mostly had to do with the order we formatted them in. Unfortunately when we installed Win7 it changed them all! I was getting worried when we were missing one of our 1 terrabite's, then Joel checked in disk management n' found it was 'cause it was missing a drive letter, 'cause our OS hdd kicked it off. I feel bad for Joel. Don't know why his save went missing... Everything else is there. I think it's probably still there somewhere, and just doesn't find it, because of the drive letters changing.

Any way, yeah... I caught Joel's flu n' managed to get it twice as bad. Had to come home early from work last night, 'cause I was just getting shitter by the hour. Woke up thismorning throwing up on the floor. Beautiful. Can't say I've ever had a flu hit me so hard. D= I did just start a new character on ME2, but I'm so irritated I couldn't handle it for long. Hopefully I'm okay for work tomorrow... I don't wanna have to go get a bloody doctors certificate.

...Also... I got a job offer from a company looking for a new graphic designer. =S They emailed me asking when I'm avaliable to come in n' have a look at the office. I'm still feeling a little iffy about it, though I'm going to just go in there as confident as I can. It's an hours drive away.. Plus I'm a little worried of what quality they expect me to pump out. They've seen my portfolio, but I guess I'll see what they really think of me when I go check the place out. Never know... I might change my mind when I see the place, that's if I do get the job. Good sign that they've asked me to come in though I guess. Kinda confused about it all though, since I was looking forward to doing I.T. next year.

Cool about the job. But i guess it all depends on how much it actually pays. But usually with companies, in my experience, the quality doesnt have to be that great, just function. Dont know why u wouldnt be confident though, your work is very good lol.

But if u really really want to do I.T. i guess there isnt much of a decision.

Well yeah if they ask u to come look at the office, then they are definitely interested in u. They wouldnt waste their time like that if they didnt want to hire u. They are trying to accommodate to u and for u to see the workplace and the workers to have a personal attachment to the offer so ur more inclined to say yes, in which case u will probably have a starting salary of between $30-$40,000 a year.

Well yeah, i thought Vanquish looked shit until i actually played it. Its so fast paced and has alot of stuff going on, but fun. All the details in the character animations are awesome. And all the guns are the same base gun attached to the battlesuit, but the gun morphs and transforms to that appropriate gun by reading it's data. But im waiting on the review before i buy it. If it gets less than 8/10 i wont get it.

Shit about the flu, throwing up is always annoying. And the save file, every gamer hates losing their saves.

Luckily Windows 7 didn't give us a chance to partition the drive, so we have our "Old Windows" on there still. Some reason ME2 puts the save files in Documents. I thought we'd definitely had wiped it when we put 7 on, but it was still in the Old Windows folder. xD He'd put 18 hours into that save. Phew~

I think I'll take the job if they're definitely offering it. I'm still worried on what they expect of me, since my friend who referred me to them told me they were replacing a girl who they'd keep having to fix her work up. I'm not sure what exactly they had to keep fixing, but hopefully it was just 'cause she was from university. lol

Yeah, she could have been just bad. It's usually bad to go to uni for digital media style courses, there's way too much theory and not enough practical. Most of the things u learn with these programs is self taught through practice anyway.

Im alrite i guess lol. Been playing Monster Hunter and watching DBZ Kai, its pretty awesome. Plus its uncut so Goku says "bastards" and its gory, like people getting limbs snapped off and when vegeta kills the Saibamen they fall apart and u see their eye balls coming out and stuff. Also when the Saibamen explodes on Yamcha there are pieces of him still lying on the ground. Also all the names of the moves are said as their original japanese title. But u can only get it uncut uptill ep 13, the rest come out in September. Since its the blu-ray 720p ones. But u can still watch the censored tv ones up till current.

Yep back at TAFE, sigh. Atleast this semester it will be easier, got less classes and if i can do what i want for my project class i should be able to get it out of the way near the start of the semester. The only bad thing is i got 2 assignments where i need to work with other people. And in the words of Batman "I hate relying on other people", there's too many variables and its unpredictable.

"Street Fighter X Tekken" looks interesting, i wonder the tekken chars will play but kazuya looked pretty cool from the gameplay vid, but by the looks of it he might be a bit too fast. Also they gave Ryu his slide kick back from 3.

Joel finished watching all the DBZ Kai eps (in japanese) that's on the net. We're gonna get it in English when the Blu-ray comes out. Also bought a couple of the movie dvd's the other day. One had the 2 Cooler movies, n' the other had the one with Tapion and the one with Janemba (sp?)

I'm doing good any way. Contemplating as always on what I want to study next year though.

I got a new position in Big W for now, which is great. Much better than folding clothes. I'm a planogrammer now, so I get to change the shelve/hook layouts of the store to match what it looks like on these computer drawings. Makes shit look better than before, basically. lol Also makes time go by REALLY quickly. The night just flies away~ So does the whole weeks really.

I'm playing WoW again at the moment... Oh, and Earthworm Jim HD and Ratchet n' the latest Ratchet n' Clank.


SF n' Tekken will be cool. I'm wondering how Ryu n' that will go against Tekken's long combos. But the game play they've shown so far looks like it works well. Love to see the what the SF char's look like in Tekken graphics too!

To unlock the monster hunter mission u gotta to a special sequence, where u listen to some audio tape of a red head latina chick talking about her grandpa telling stories of giant beasts, then u gotta go into a certain mission, beat all the people in a certain area then go to a wharf and the cat will be there: [link]

Lol yeah, its un-co when u swap from a game with different controls, but u get used to it after a bit. Which reminds me since im on holiday i can play monster hunter again lol. After i finish Mega Man, on the final area, just got a Giga Card called Million Kick. He dashes up to the enemy and does a chun-li style rapid kick.

Yeah there are lots of those cats in the game, that particular cat is one that u pay to go explore lands and bring back items for u. Others u can hire to fight with u, others are shop keepers, and there are wild tribe ones which can be annoying and good. The black ones are especially annoying cause they run up and knock u down and steal one of ur items before running away by digging a hole in the ground. U can either kill it before u runs away with ur item, or get ur item back at their tribe base junk pile. And the white ones, which are fighters are passive until attacked which they will then try to kill u with small timed bombs layed on the ground, which can be good or bad, since some of the bombs will hit the wyvern if ur fighting one.

Lol Game is good. Bioshock 1 very good game, but people say the second one isnt as good. Burstlimit is good if u turn off the annoying interuption capsules. Motor Storm is always fun, the only reason i havent bought 1 yet is cause i get enough from the demos lol. But ill probably definitely buy Apocalypse, looks pretty awesome. Killzone 2 is good the first time around, but its really annoying that u have to shoot enemies in the head twice, since the first u shoot off their helmet. Also Sev isnt very good of a main character, and Rico is damn annoying. Although Scholar Visari and Colonel Radec are cool. Also there's the sub-par gunplay. [link]

Teaches some very good techniques like "spotting", that arnt taught to u in game.

My favourite guns are:
Assault Rifle - XM8 Prototype
Sub-Machine Gun - XM8 Compact
Light Machine Gun - M60 LNG
Sniper Rifle - M24 Sniper Rifle(the original rifle)
Shotgun - SAIGA with 12 Gauge Ammo
Pistol - M9
(Rest of the guns like "M14 MOD Enhanced" that are available to all classes are fun to swap out)

There arnt any "ultimate guns", every gun is balanced, just depends on ur play style and which is ur favourite to use, or even if u just wanna use a gun for fun. Point is experiment with different guns and combinations, then youll slowly find ur favourite guns.

Yeah i would recommend playing the atleast the first level of BC2 Campaign before jumping in online. Also swap the "soldier controls" to Bad Company 1 style, its much better for swaping weapons and especially sniping. Since ur usin R2 rather than /\. And melee swaps to /\, which is more logical since u only ever melee when its planned and easier to swap to ur M9 Pistol, when u run out of bullets, and finish off the person u were trying to kill or get a quick kill on a person that came out while u were reloading.

The best pistol in the game is the M9, which is the first pistol u have, u can easily run and gun with accuracy at close quarters and u just spam fire and unload the clip into them until they die, which takes about 1/2 a clip, which takes about 1-2 secs to use.

I dont know what ep it is lol. If its Taob and Foremen then yes they were on drugs. They took Vicodin to get high to see what House feels like, since they are in lock down, cause a mother lost her baby.

Yeah just watch the vid, swap the controls and play the first level before going online, prolly better since im still doing assignments lol. But i finished the flash animation intro atleast. Just gotta tie everything together, then all i gotta do is finish my design animation.

Lol cool, split second wasnt that fun for me. Darksiders is alright not that great, the demo was freaking long lol. I dont like Bayonetta, its a DMC clone with a overly feminist bitchy character that has an orgasm when ever she summons a demon, with the controls main focus being button mashing. Army of Two is bad. People say Borderlands is good, ive never played it.

Yeah very interested in u having BC2, if u like first person shooters you'll love it. Best first person shooter period. At the start its really hard for new players to get into the flow and maps, but after it feels natural and u stop dying every 5 secs its really fun lol. You can invite people into ur games when ur online, ill see if ur online now. Wish i didnt have any assignments to do. But pretty close to finishing flash animation.

I don't know why he couldn't hack it. He was a douche. It's not like he would have lost points or anything, since it's the free version, so you don't have an actual account. You can just choose any of the current intro decks (which are the pre-made decks).

After i finish my all my work, ill probably try to finish zelda: majora's mask. Never actually finished it before.

Ive been playing monster hunter freedom unite on psp alot lately, got used to it now. Its pretty good, but there's too much stuff in the game, you kinda feel lost and most of the weapons need parts from later monsters in the game, so im at the plateau part of near the start of the game. There's too much invested in the later part in the game i guess is wat im saying, so as a MH veteran feels a bit annoying.

You should get portable 3rd when it comes out in english, since u will be able to play online through infrastructure mode(proper online). Plus as it's a series restart, it wont have so much stuff in it, so it wont be so daunting to a new player. Cause the last games were basically the previous game but with a whole new game's worth of missions in it, with some new weapons. So MH:FU had stuff from MH1, MH1G, MH2 and the new stuff which is MH2ndG/MH:FU.

You seem like the type of person who would use a katana/longsword, great sword, dual swords or bow. :[link]

But dual swords and bows were taken out of Tri for some reason.

No weapon is better than the other, just different play styles to suit the player. I use sword and shield, which is supposedly rare lol. For a general all purpose weapon i like using a sword with paralysis element, cause almost every monster in the game can be paralysed and when they are. You just wail on them while u have 5-10 seconds worth of free hits and they do 10% more damage, and they cant fight back. The draw back from this though is the slight lack of power, of the weapon and they arent as sharp as other final weapons.
