I love them xD they are so adorable, I just don't like it when people compare cats/dogs. They are both meaningful companions and whatever one prefers, they just prefer. I love dogs, but I don't think I could take care of one continously barking even at odd hours.

True - but people constantly do that. I must admit, I'm more the cat person, but that doesn't mean I necessarily dislike dogs, on the contrary. I'm just more into cats. But I know and have met some really awesome dogs, some of which I'd adopt at once. I actually also like birds or reptiles...and horses, too, I just can't afford one...

Oh my gosh birds are so unbelievably cute. Especially the parrots/budgies. I would love to have one if I knew how to take care of one. Reptiles are so adorable too. Gosh, this is why I can't decide xD I love all of them

It depends on the personality of the monkey. Animals have personalities and you know some monkeys can be good, some mischievous. But you know loud animals I am scared of, so I love them from afar. LOL. Dogs bark way too much and scare me, but I still love them, especially the little ones that are smaller than cats. They are cute.

That's true - they all have their personalities, no matter what kind of animal. I guess I just wouldn't be a monkey person, probably. As for dogs - my dream would be a farm, with horses, some sheep and goats - and for those I'd like a Border Collie. But I don't like it when dogs bark all the time, it always makes me jump. But that too is a matter of personality and training. But yeah, cats are easier in that respect XD I have a friend who has Chihuahuas - they are the cutest! Not really dog-dogs, but cute little critters

I know, I've seen chihuahuas around. I'd get them if I were to get a dog. But dogs just are so loud and bark so much. Not that cats can't meow too much though. I have one cat, Toby, that loves to meow his soul out when he wants food xD I am currently away from all three of my kitties, but I love them so much and miss them. Animals are such a precious thing. I seen a poor stray dog in the alley-way who lays in leaves, but it's snowing outside now and I hope he's okay.

It truly is, I see stray cats and dogs all of the time....and some fat squirrels and birds. I see cats a lot going to my grandmother's backyard. I seen one jet black kitty take shelter on my grandmother's back porch on the chair, and just go to sleep. He was so small and cute. However, my grandmother is allergic to cat fur, but she still planned on getting a small little kitten. I really wish we could find one and get one.
And oh my god, did you know that, if you throw food (stuff made out of natural things, like bread or some home cooked meals or some certain fast foods like biscuits, etc) out on your porch or backyard that you don't want, wild animals will eat the hell out of it! I did it before and my aunt does it all the time. All the food we throw out is gone within the next day!

Some cats don't have that specific gene that causes allergy - my old cat didn't have it, people never had troubles with her. My dad's cat has it, though. Problem is that you just never know before...As soon as I have the possibility, I'll go to the next animal shelter and let a cat adopt me
Haha, yes, I just can't do that here - but it works fine at my mum's place, with breadcrumbs for the birds and all that. One just has to be careful because it can also invite rats - and because not every animal can eat everything. For example, if you feed horses anything with potatoes, it may kill them - potatoes are poisonous for them. My dad lives really in town, but still, we once found a roe eating away on the apples that had fallen from our tree in the garden, that was so cute! No idea where it came from, it must have walked through the gardens and streets!

true, not every animal can eat everything but I live in the city so I don't think horses will be coming around to get some food xD just basic street feral animals like cats, dogs, birds, squirrels come around. There used to be different animals, like a hare, I seen a turkey too. I suspected someone may have had them or something They'd come in my grandmother's backyard. But someone killed that poor turkey. I used to see bunnies around too, but people like to kill animals like that. I don't even see possums anymore. It is true that rats can come uninvited so it is best to be careful. But I hardly even see them around. I just don't know where the animals I used to see are at anymore xD
And a roe! Oh my goodness, how absolutely adorable. I love looking at cute little creatures run around in my backyard. They are so adorable and admirable from afar. Although one time I seen a sneaky squirrel trying to get into my neighbor's roof, lol.

Hahaha, squirrely can be extremely cheeky! But yeah, rats are a common problem in the cities here - and I've seen quite some over time...But we also have plenty of birds of all sorts, and the squirrely have returned! They were really rare for a while...
Wjoever killed that turkey? We have many rabbits here at university - but I'm always a bit worried if they become too many, because if that happens, they often get sick and die in a horrible way...We even had wild boars once, chasing students around on campus! That was scary, actually...Not too many stray dogs here, though...most dogs belong to someone here...But the roe in our garden, that was quite something, because we don't exactly live near a forest...

wow, that's interesting. My grandmother's house is near an alleyway, so lots of stray animals roam there. I have no idea who killed that poor turkey, but he would come in our backyard! That was so long ago though. And I feel sorry for those innocent rabbits. I've never had one before but was considering getting one when I could. Squirrels are mostly found in areas where there is *some* type of rural-ness. In neighborhoods, backyards, even a big amount of land (full of trees and such.) They are fat and cute where I live, I see them chasing each other and playing around with one another all of the time. They go up and down the trees and don't even eat acorns.
Seriously, they don't. Only when they don't have anything else to eat, maybe. But they will grab restaurant biscuits, bread, pizza, chips....before they get an acorn. I have seen so much acorns lying around that no squirrel has even touched not one bit. Dysfunctional squirrels xD

Hahaha, weird squirrels! But I'm glad we have more squirrels again - they used to be almost gone, but now there are quite some. We also have quite a lot of birds of all kinds. And...well...wild boars...I'm glad if they don't show up at university again, they can be pretty dangerous...Loads of cats, too, but they usually aren't strays...And lost of rabbits! And the birds and rabbits aren't really shy anymore...A few days ago I almost stumbled over a thrush
