I'd like to, but I'm quite slow, so I'm wondering what are you looking for and wether do you have a deadline for it?

Deadline - probably 2 months? ;v; I'm pretty patient but within limits I guess qvq
I was thinking to get a fullbody b/w pencil drawing and something coloured, probably in halfbody ;v;

Thank you, this made my day!
being paid would be super nice too Although I haven’t figure out the pricing. How much would you be willing to pay for a commission from me if you don’t mind me asking?

MadiMika In reply to NgaTNguyen [2018-08-22 01:04:17 +0000 UTC]
Well, you could set up multiple kinds!
Like, for example:
Portrait/Headshot-$10, Halfbody- $15, Fullbody-$20
+$5 for background (you could add or subtract if it’s simple or difficult)
+$5 for pets/extras
+$5 for extra person, etc.
Well, it doesn’t have to be those numbers, but most people would buy a high priced commission if it was worth it! And by golly, yours is worth it! 💕 So you could up the price if you want to, it was just an example.
I, myself, don’t have a lot of money. 😅 And awhile ago I told my mother that I bought a commission for $50. She was way beyond “anger”. To put it nicely. Sorry, I kind of got off track. But, did I answer your question? If I didn’t please tell me. My mind likes to wander.

Goodness! I just reread it and I did NOT answer your question! Sorry!
Well, it depends. Are you in dire need of money? If you are, then I would up the price a bit. I like to start off small and work my way up. Not only will commissions give you some extra money, but it will also give you more practice! And save someone’s posterior, like me! And like I said earlier, a lot of people(also me) don’t have a lot of money.
But, you know, to be completely honest, this is me, trying to get a discount or something. Because I want a two people drawing, maybe, possibly? And another one person drawing. And another three people drawing. Heck, you could make a whole lot of money just from ME buying commissions from you!! 😂 But, I, you know, really pay attention to detail. Darn, did I answer your question this time?

If I may ask, what kind of tools do you use? 🧐 I love your drawings, and I was wondering if you could give me any pointers to remember? 🤔 I’ve been drawing on paper for years and I wanted to step it up a bit. 😑 But for some reason, I don’t seem to be improving! 😭😢 Any advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated! 🤗

I currently use Procreate on iPad Pro, but I also have a Wacom cintiq and photoshop. The first is more convenient to carry around, the second combination has bigger screen and more tools in the box for more elaborate effects and adjustments. Although all of the pieces you seen in my current gallery are done exclusively on iPad because I haven’t got much time to sit down at my computer and Wacom.
If I can see your works maybe my advice would be more on point since I would have a better grasp on where you are and what could be next. So do you have any of yours available that I can take a quick look?

Thanks for the info! 😊
Actually, even since I was a kid I loved to use my laptop and copy random pictures I felt like drawing. I am not able to color it, though? It never really works out. And the pictures I copied on google were almost never colored so it was easier to copy for a child.
You see, my mom always said I was amazing to be able to do that. I was only able to do it cuz I sat there for over 2 hours drawing a picture that I found on the internet. I constantly felt a pang of guilt because, of course, they were not my drawings. They were someone else’s. And I told them that, but they still said it amazing. But I love to draw and I’m not gonna stop drawing. I still copy pictures from google to this very day. I’ve been drawing since I was 5. I’m currently 18. I feel pathetic. I want to be able to draw something from my head and not COPY someone else’s hard word.
Any help would be much appreciated. Seriously, I’m desperate. I have no else to ask. I don’t wanna keep being a copy machine. Help....please. 😭

Alright, second reply is here, I just realized that I actually don't have a lot of youtube videos saved in my play list and they don't necessary follow any order so I'll try to be short and to the point. Also, I'm assuming the first subject you want to conquer is the same as mine, which is the human figure. Which is also the only thing I've been focusing on lol, so here they are:
proko anatomy play list
alphonso dunn this is just a search result but there are so many play list that is helpful from this guy I'm just sharing them all here.
And also, if you are looking into start digital drawing, here's a good website with some free videos to start with (he's using photoshop, but a lot of painting apps has the similar tools and workings)
ctrlpaint
This painter also offer a lot of free lessons and critiques on youtube that are pretty nice:
istebrak
So... I guess this is a lot of referencing, but you can pick whatever subject you are interested in at the moment to learn... (which is what I do, and which is why it's all over the places lol).
After all that, here's the actual advice from me here about drawing from imagination: just do it. My process really is just this: If you have an image in your head, put your pencil on the paper, draw out simple shapes as place holders to depict the general scene, then gradually draw on the details in the place holders one by one or layer by layer. Don't be afraid to erase and redraw a lot (that's why if you doing it on paper draw with pencil lightly so you don't tear the paper erasing lol). Don't be afraid to look at examples on google for certain things and patch it in your image when you've tried and failed at depicting what you are imagining (after all imagination draws from reality somewhere).
The white sheet of paper is intimidating, but stop your head from pressuring yourself for something amazing from the start, enjoy the weird shapes you put down at the beginning and the process to make some sense out of those shapes gradually (I'm trying to practice this as well).
I hope at least some of this helps, and I would gladly try to give some constructive comments on your work sometimes too (I can't guarantee that I will always do since I'm struggling to find some time for art too lol ). But, anyways, I hope you will soon find a new path on your art journey!!!

Oh I see, that’s why you do not like posting your work online. I don’t think you need to feel too guilty tho since copying is a skill in itself, and I also started out copying stuff (you have to have very good hand eye coordination and hand control).
to be honest I’m a beginner myself, and I also study mainly by myself so everything I’ve got in my head are not in order. My first advice, if you do not have the luxury to go to proper art class like myself but got around under $100 to spare and are willing to read some, these books are the ones that I really like (very personal opinion since I don’t read a lot to compare them to others):
How to draw and sketch objects and environments from imagination
Figure drawing design nd invention
Color and light
Alright to be fair I haven’t really really understand everything they taught in these books (and I haven’t practice all either) but I think they are a good place to start (you don’t need to think too much about what to learn first and second and what not because they are all laid out chapter by chapter).
On the other hand, if you don’t feel like spending money just yet, I’d recommend YouTube (if you haven’t done that already). I have a number of tutorials I’ve looked at but I probably need to sort them out before replying here, so stay tuned for the second reply .

I see. Thank you for the information/advice.
I shall keep trying and check out the things you have told me as well as try others! I’m glad I asked you! You’re very kind! 😊 I look forward to the second part of your reply!
Take your time, I’m not in any rush. (And I’ve learned that in life trying to rush things usually always ends up in failure. 😅) oh. Not that I’m saying that you’ll fail. It’s just something that I learned. I’ll just shut up now....Anyways, I look forward to hearing from you! (Not literally, I’m more than half deaf, I would just barely hear you anyway.)
