"gah I hate going on prtral when it's hot..." *Mudfur sighed and looked up as she walked the sun beemed down on her makeing her want to complain more about the heat*

Stormclaw had just came back from a hunting patrol with a plump rabbit in her mouth. "great StarClan it's hot." She mumbled

" tell me about it stormclaw." * she flopped down on the warm ground * " I thought I was going to pass out while on duty." * she looked up at stormclaw * " Hunting was good at least."

She nodded "There was very much prey out there." She gave her paws a lick the said "at least it's cooler at night. Otherwise we'd be crow food!" She chuckled

*mudfur slowly got up * "I just hope things cool down soon and don't know how much of this heat I can take."Β

I'm already done with my job and you got a rabbit so how about it?" * Mudfur walked to stormclaw befor stoping right next to her it's was odd for Mudfur to ask this from stormclaw, Mudfur never really talked to stormclaw maybe that could change*Β

* begins to walk she looks up to see the sky turning to a orangey color* "We should hurry I don't want it to be dark when we get there." *she meows as she starts a light run to the direction on to the clan*

* Mudfur couldn't help but to do the same she looked up and saw the sky for a moment she forgets how hot it is just then she falls* "WAaaaaaaaa!" * the earth that was covered in leaves was a hole she fell that landed hard* "wo...that hurts..." *She get up slowly looking up from the hole* " Um...S-Starmclaw?"

* sees Stormclaw looking down on her from the hole* " I'm fine. " * she meows she looks around the hole and tries to get out the walls are slippery and she falls down again* " I...I think I'm stuck" ( I need to go but I'll continue it when I come back. :3)

* feels stormclaw grab her * "Hey good idea stormclaw!" * she try's to help by pushing her self up by the walls but they where still slippery she looked up to see stormclaw but not the beautiful orange sky it was instead a dark blue with a blanket of stars*Β

Stormclaw finally pulls her out and she falls back as Mudclaws gets free. "Be careful next time.."she said. (It's ok)

"Aww jee sorry Stormclaw haha.*mudfur looked away form stormclaw shyly howΒ embarrassing she must look like a clumsy kitten just learning how to walk* "I'm really sorry storm-" *she stopped she noticed something in the distance even though it was dark Mudfur smelled something and it wasn't a wind clan cat* " Do you smell that..." * she said softly *

Stormclaw stopped and tasted the air. "It's a strange scent..lets go look for it." She replied

* the smell gets stronger as they went to it Mudfur stopped and began to get scared she stopped stormclaw * " that smells kinda like a badger..* she whispers as quietly as she can*

Stormclaw stiffened. The bushes rustled and soon a badger emerged from it. She let out a hiss at the black and white creature.

* Mudfur was shocked but stood her ground the badger saw them and began to growl it came closer* " We need to go now!" * Mudfur meowed *

Stormclaw and mudfur ran back to camp as fast asthey could. Once Stormclaw burst into camp she yowled "BADGER!"

*The Badger bust into the camp still following Mudfur and Sormclaw the cats in the camp began to panic as they took action to stop the badger*Β

Stormclaw unsheathed her claws and leaped towards the badger. "Stay away from our camp!" She yowled as she cut at the Badgers throat

"stormclaw! " * Mudfur yelled and rush to help her attack the badger as the cats began to cut the badger*

The badger, cut all over, rushed out of the crowd of cats and tried running away. With all the injuries it was limping.

* Mudfur tried to keep attacking the badger but as soon as she took a step she fell as her back leg and her side shoot pain all over her body she looked to see her injuries are far worse than she imagine. The badger was wheezing as its injures made it hard for it to walk*

* stormclaw looked back at mudfur and immediate anger shot through her. She lunged at the badger and sunk her teeth into its throat. It struggled very weakly for awhile before going limp. Stormclaw let go and ran to mudclaw*
"Are you okay?? I'll go get the medicine cat." She said as she ran to the medicine den

* she looked weakly to stormclaw she was talking to her but she couldn't hear anything she was blacking out the last thing she saw was stormclaw running* " Gah....Storm...cla-" * she passed out on the floor not feeling the pain not even feeling the warm air of the night*

"Krestleflight!" Stormclaw yelled. He ran from just finishing treating another wound from a warrior
"what is it stormclaw?" he asked
"Mudfur is gravely injured! Help her!" she yelled. the medicine cat ran to his den and then ran to Mudfur with the supplies in his mouth and began treating wounds.

* She woke up early in the morning she felt swor all over her body she slowly picked her head up trying to see where she was at* " Is this starclan?" * she said in a daze her eye sight coming back *
