Hello, I recently saw some of your work at Epcot, and I think it's fantastic! Would it be okay if you told me a few drawing tips?

Oh wow that's so cool my art's still in that book over there haha thanks for looking at it!! Well I'm not the best for art tips but basically just keep on chugging forward trying new methods of drawing. I always try and mimic styles I enjoy until they are perfect so it's a part of my collection! But's it's basically trying one thing until it works out!

Happy B-Day! You are a VERY amazing artist, one of the many artists that I look up to and you have a very special talent that took me a LONG time to achieve! You have a gift to have started very early that I wish that I could've gotten earlier, it took me 3 years to get to where I am in art, but your art, it makes me realize that I still have a long way to go. Okay! Let me see here haha, okay for the blue pen drawing you basically have to careful with the pressure. You start off very lightly, gently shading in a very light base layer skipping where your highlights will be. And then after that you keep going over the top very lightly in layers until you get your shadows as dark as you'd like them to be and at the same time it stays neat! Also make sure you go in the same direction with shading, I've learned that changing the pen direction will make it look weird unless you it's crosshatching!
And for the colored pencil colored one that one's super easy. It's basically the same idea you go with the color you want the item to be and color that in fully. Then you pick a shade darker of that same color and you color in your shadows etc. Back then I used to use white out for my highlights but for the black in the picture I used sharpie and I just left the highlights blank! I go from light to dark mainly and I start with the lighter colors first and then shade in darker spots on top.
I hope that sort of helped I'm not too great with words but if you'd like me to elaborate on anything I can try my best!!

If it's a white spot like a highlight you leave it blank but if it has color that's where you put the light sketching down first, that way you can vary how dark you'd like it over the top, if that makes some sense haha

It's just like a base color as I said for the colored pencil. It's just a starting layer to which you can add stuff on top of and it isn't necessary but I tend to use it sometimes. It's perfectly okay to just dive right in and fool around with the pen haha. I'm super sorry if I'm confusing you I'm trying to think of a better way to describe it hahah.
