I really like your depp drawing very detailed. I think that 2 weeks is to long to spend on a drawing what are you doing a year? Thats a long time have you done other drawings during that year?

Thanks for your comments... I didn't spend two weeks on the drawing, although I never time myself so I couldn't give you a time. The drawing was done last year however it has yet to be complete, at the time other things arose and I just haven't got back to it since.

Im like that also sometimes I have 10 drawings going at once but. I guess I over reacted bec that drawing was in the works for a year and I just got into drawing seriously about 1 1/2 years ago I saw this Avril lavigne drawing at this website [link] check it out this guy took 11monthes to complete this drawing so it does happen but I think this avril drawing is better than any drawing i have done of her Im still envious of this drawing that is why I drew her so many times I want to get her to look as real as possible and to get it to look just like her. That guy will captured her expression for sure

Yes that portrait of Avril is very good, would say the mouth is a bit exaggerated... just keep on going is all I can say, you have a flare and it can only develope further with time. For me I would say the main importance is capturing the persons character and conveying emotion, whether the style of drawing is photogrphic in nature or otherwise its irrelevent. Having passion and desire is a good place to start, you will get there in the end.
