Honestly, I've had thought of self harm but I could never get myself to do it. I've thought about not being here but it feels selfish to think that way. After feeling that way I think about tomorrow, and how it can get better.
I think what got me to have that nightmare was I was talking to a friend and they told me they didn't think they could make it to their birthday. When I heard that I freaked. I kept saying, "You're going to make it to your birthday. You're going to live a long and fantastic life. It will be beautiful but right now you have to give it a chance."
In the nightmare they left a note and it had a short message for me and the rest of my friends. My message was, "Christen, Β you didn't fail me. I failed you." Then I woke up crying and heart broken then I poured everything I was feeling into this song.Β
Thank you so much. I do try to put messages into my lyrics because I know they're the words people need to hear. For me, they're the words I fear I cannot live up to because I'm scared to and that's how others feel too. I'll promise to keep staying awesome.
