I give you this llama because you seem to share several of my views on things relating to the DeviantART community.
(Of course, I'm not too high caliber of an artist, but I can see how annoying it would be for higher-caliber artists to have their art be brought into groups that just add whatever they want.)
But mostly that thing you said about people auto-faving art is what I agree with most. Seriously, most of the favourites I have garnered were popular people just adding a favourite to everything because they wanted more views, and thus more exposure, and etc..
(Also, your "The New Colossus" is really cool.)
